I predict an extinction level event for all ketchup bottles in the vicinity of Mar-A-Lago when this news breaks:
“Former President Donald Trump is ineligible under the 14th Amendment to run for president in 2024 because of the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol, the Colorado Supreme Court ruled on Tuesday — a historic decision that sets up a battle before the nation’s highest court.
“We conclude that … President Trump engaged in insurrection,” the justices wrote in the 4-3 ruling. “President Trump’s direct and express efforts, over several months, exhorting his supporters to march to the Capitol to prevent what he falsely characterized as an alleged fraud on the people of this country were indisputably overt and voluntary.”
“Moreover,” the justices wrote, “the evidence amply showed that President Trump undertook all these actions to aid and further a common unlawful purpose that he himself conceived and set in motion: prevent Congress from certifying the 2020 presidential election and stop the peaceful transfer of power.”
In light of this, the ruling states, “[W]e conclude that because President Trump is disqualified from holding the office of President under Section Three, it would be a wrongful act under the Election Code for the Secretary to list President Trump as a candidate on the presidential primary ballot.”
Finally, a court which will not be intimidated by Trump and his knuckle-draggers has clearly ruled correctly on a precept any right thinking American has already grasped –
A traitor, who has already once violated the oath of office cannot run to serve as the United States President again.

Technically, Section 3 of the 14th Amendment does not prevent DON THE CON from RUNNING for office. As an instigator & participant of the Jan 6 INSURRECTION, he is simply ineligible to hold any office after running. So if he is prohibited from holding the office, there isn’t much point in running for it. Of course, we know that DON THE CON’S only purpose for running for President again is to 1. Keep himself out of prison by stopping the criminal cases pending against him & 2. take revenge on all he perceives to be his enemies, done him wrong or humiliated him.
I think the most significant part of the Colorado Supreme Court’s ruling is the conclusion that DON THE CON did indeed participate in an INSURRECTION. Even the Justices who dissented, did not seem to reject the conclusion of Trump’s participation in that event. DON THE CON T. RUMP is most definitely a TRAITOR who has violated the oath of office not just once, but many times during the years of 2017 to 2020 & is most definitively unfit to hold any office, especially President.
DON THE CON has no consideration for or knowledge of the Constitution on which our government is based. He certainly does not hold it in any reverence & has even threatened to get rid of that document if he gets into office again. What I wonder about if the Supreme Court takes this case… will it in anyway force Trump’s lawyers to dissuade him from continuing with his current quoting of Hitler speak in his campaign rallies. Can’t statements being made by Trump be used in the court case against him, if they prove his intent to act in Unconstitutional & Dictatorial ways?
