Elon Musk is doing a thorough job in making the case that Elon Musk – the world’s richest man – accumulated his immense wealth in order to kick back and be a social media influencer for life. It is hard to see how Musk has time to do anything else. He seems ever-ready to answer a tweet, while putting out his own increasingly far-right, Trump supporting, trope tweets. As far as I’m concerned, it is fine for him to support Trump. It’s Elon’s time and his money – we aren’t forced to read Musk’s tweets.
But today Musk was calling out the federal government – or so he thought – by whining that he and his Starlink company – an internet access service that uses small dish receivers anywhere on Earth – is being held up by the FAA. He made it sound as if “federal red tape in conjunction with regulations” have bogged down his rescue effort to the point that they were taken out of commission:

Well, Elon is always down for an excuse to put the word out and there he is – complaining that the government is getting in his – Elon, the man’s – way. I would bet that he didn’t expect the response:

Say what you want about Secretary Pete, he is a lot of things but dumb has never been one of them. If he had more experience at the federal level, he would surely have been Secretary of State or perhaps as a veteran he might have been Secretary of Defense. The comeback is genius in its simplicity. “You are wrong, call me and I’ll tell you what to do.”
It is hard to show someone up in less time. But Elon went to the well again, defensively tweeting out a rather ridiculous question:

Elon didn’t become the world’s richest man by being dumb, either. Indeed, Elon is a genius but he has never been known for his social skills which lag behind his intuition for big things and making money on big things. The defensive tweet is rather ridiculous because Pete already answered that question with his one comeback line. The answer is “Yes.” And call him to confirm it.
