We know whose playbook the GOP is using to get into or stay in power these days and his initials are A.H. The only real distinction between Germany in the 1930’s and how today’s GOP works is that Hitler didn’t have television available to him. But other than that, the philosophy is exact. Nancy Mace has switched from so-called moderate to uber MAGA and here’s her getting caught in the act.

Now here is what this transformation of Mace’s may be all about. SCOTUS hears #SC01 gerrymandering case next week. A constituent there, posting on Twit-X said, “That’s why Mace is pivoting to ultra MAGA. She knows her district is getting redrawn.”
Occam’s Razor would indicate that all Mace is doing is covering her own. Unfortunately for her, there are tapes and tweets which all document what her posture used to be and what it is today and she’s not looking so great.
What I think is comical is that she said she wasn’t fundraising off the McCarthy axing but then said the name of her website twice.
Bannon is doing the same thing for Mace that he did for Kari Lake and most probably, he’ll get the same result. Lake has washed out. Her latest most relevant thing was an interview with Roseanne Barr, who proclaimed herself “president for life” in 2012. Barr got a head start on the MAGA crazies, she went nuts first.
Bannon was all in for Lake in Arizona and he told her of the big money she could make. Who needs the lottery when you have MAGA, right? And evidently Mace is following the same line of coaching.
Mace might have had some credibility at some point, but she has lost it all now. And she better hurry if she wants to do another photo op in front of Trump Tower to prove her fealty to the Mango MAGA Monarch. That building may get renamed soon and then what’s the point?
All this winning must be exhausting, wouldn’t you think?
Just on a note for historical accuracy: Hitler DID have television available. However, the German people didn’t have the receivers (they were used in military hospitals in Paris with the transmitter being in the Eiffel Tower).
The necessary Cathode Ray Tubes were reserved for radar monitors (the Brits did the same – TV was suspended during the war with the CRTs being reserved for military use)
