Holy Projection, Batman! What a shame Joseph Goebbels isn’t here to see the fruits of his philosophy flourish and bloom within the ranks of the Republican party, circa 2024. The New York Times just dropped a story, “Donald J. Trump’s businesses received at least $7.8 million from 20 foreign governments during his presidency, according to new documents released by House Democrats on Thursday that show how much he received from overseas transactions while he was in the White House, most of it from China.”
The transactions, detailed in a 156-page report called “White House For Sale” that was produced by Democrats on the House Oversight Committee, offer concrete evidence that the former president engaged in the kind of conduct that House Republicans have labored, so far unsuccessfully, to prove that President Biden did as they work to build an impeachment case against him.
Using documents produced through a court fight, the report describes how foreign governments and their controlled entities, including a top U.S. adversary, interacted with Trump businesses while he was president. They paid millions to the Trump International Hotel in Washington, D.C.; Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas; Trump Tower on Fifth Avenue in New York; and Trump World Tower at 845 United Nations Plaza in New York.
House Democrats highlighted the transactions on Thursday as a counterweight to Republicans’ impeachment inquiry into Mr. Biden, which has sought to tie him to international business deals by his son Hunter Biden before his father became president in a bid to prove corruption or influence peddling. They have so far failed to show that President Biden was enriched in any way by any of those transactions.
Watch for this story to be the explosion du jour. Trump is utterly corrupt and misused the position of U.S. president beyond the parameters of any other president in history, or for that matter, of all of them combined. Yet he seeks to regain access to the exact same levers of power that he abused when he held office before.
What this bottom lines down to is that in any kind of a normal world, Trump would be off the GOP ticket. That’s what needs to happen here. But I’m willing to bet the farm that you’re not going to see that or anything close to it.
What a month January is already shaping up to be and it’s only the 4th.
What bothers me perhaps the most, is not only trump’s attempt to retake the white house, but the total corruption of right and wrong the GOP is creating in the public discourse.
The GOP has totally broken down. Romney’s out, Liz Cheney was forced out, Kinzinger left, any Republican halfway worth a damn (which I define as “being recognizable as a conservative as opposed to a MAGA lunatic) is gone and the inmates are now running the asylum.
To expect honesty, decency, and ethics from NAZIS is living in a fantasy world! This is a war…plain and simple. Like the last time…we either win it or the world faces DOOM!!!FACT! VOTE!
That’s the case exactly. This is a war. We’re not in a “normal” election cycle or anywhere near it. We’re in a war for the continuance of our way of government.
Of course! RW are crooks, so they figure if they can “do the crime” & get away w/it, their opponents are doing the same! Even when they have no proof, hoping they can make it happen! RW are UNFIT to GOVERN!
He also pocketed from charging the Secret Service staying at any of his “fine” establishments when he was there, playing golf, having a party ar Maralardo, etc. So……we paid into 45’s pockets too. WHEN THE HELL IS THIS ASSHAT GOING TO BE IN PRISON?
The fact that he’s still the GOP frontrunner is what amazes me. If we were in a “normal” America, that NYT headline would have had Trump either 1. resign, or 2. be put off the ticket. Not in today’s GOP.
It’s soooo easy to, when you need to in person shut up a GOPer. Point out any one or two of Trumps antics, look them right in the eye and tell them that if a Democrat said/did the same thing they’d be outraged – and if they say otherwise they are a LIAR! Shut’s em up or sends them away mumbling every time.
That’s exactly why they’ve gone after the Bidens.

He has to have received much more money than what the report claims. I don’t think that he’d even get out of bed for anything less than billions. The money from his illegal arms deals with prince bone saw, and Israel (maybe China & Russia), money from his forced blockade (extortion) of Qatar, Bibi’s fee for getting the embassy moved, not to mention his dream threesome: Putin and Kim Jong Un probably aren’t recorded anywhere. Imagine what his nepotism raked in. Ivanka, her husband, and even her brothers were involved. How much did Rudy share with trump in his selling of pardons? They were splitting 2 million each according to Rudy and trump issued hundreds without going through the required channels. They weren’t charged for the theft of tens of millions of dollars in donations for the inauguration balls, etc. Then there’s the campaign, and election theft money they stole. The sales of NFTs, and trading cards, even his suit are campaign contributions. Does anyone honestly think they are keeping accurate records? He has made several fortunes running and being the President of the United States. The grift goes on…

Can we say “projection”. If the ‘pubes in congress had functioning grey matter between their ears they’d realize how stupidly hypocritical they look and perhaps move on to do their jobs. They do not have brains that work properly so that’s not going to happen. All the more reason to boot every last one of the fools out of congress. GOTV folks.
