There are predictions (on the MAGA side) that John Bolton is toast, about to spend the rest of his days in the House Of Many Doors. Listen to a short clip of Bolton and you’ll see that either he’s got an acting ability that is commensurate with all the A-listers in Hollywood, or he flat out isn’t worried. I believe that Bolton has taken to the airwaves to communicate the latter to Trump, a way of telling Trump “shove it where the sun don’t shine” without actually telling him to shove it.

Okay, that’s the defendant, with 18 federal charges against him. Pretty cool chap, I must say, on those facts. We’ll go into the issue in more depth but first, make no mistake: this is Project 2025 and the Retribution Tour. You’ve seen James Comey, Letitia James and John Bolton indicted and you will soon see Adam Schiff, Christopher Wray and Andrew Weissman.

The last name is a curiosity because Weissman is a respected lawyer, actually venerated would be a better descriptor. He’s a lawyer’s lawyer. I can’t tell you how many lawyers I’ve spoken to who respect and admire the man. His *crime* is that he was part of Robert Mueller’s team, whereas Schiff was an elected member of Congress and Christopher Wray, amazingly, was a Trump hire, after James Comey got sacked. But it may be his very talent that has got Weissman ready to swing from Trump’s noose. I say watch it, Donald.

Weissman is a piece of legal talent like few in recent history, with a name like F. Lee Bailey but without the showmanship and imagination, just the raw legal ability. Weissman is a legal talent on a par with Jack Smith — whose name you also will see indicted at some point. I know not when but I would bet on Jack Smith being named sooner rather than later by the klown kar of mini-lawyers running the DOJ right now. Lev Parnas kicks in his two cents and he knows considerably more about the Russia Ukraine Trump dynamic than most people.

Earlier this morning, I told you Trump was planning to speak with Vladimir Putin before meeting with President Zelensky. And sure enough, it’s now official — the call happened.

Trump just announced that he’ll meet Putin again in two weeks in Budapest, Hungary — hosted by Viktor Orbán, Putin’s closest ally inside NATO and Trump’s favorite authoritarian. […]

We might be days away from a possible U.S. military operation in Venezuela. Troop movements, logistical shifts, and classified briefings have already begun. The plan — under the guise of “stabilizing the region” — would be yet another distraction from Trump’s crumbling domestic chaos, a geopolitical stunt to project strength abroad while consolidating control at home.

If this unfolds as my sources expect, Venezuela could become the next flashpoint — a move straight from the authoritarian playbook: start a foreign conflict to silence domestic dissent and rally the base under a false flag of nationalism.

I think Parnas has a point and I, too, have been waiting for a Reichstag Fire moment. I also observe that the best thinkers we have in government are nowhere near this mis-administration in power. They’re on the other side. So yes, things are ugly and going to get uglier but we have fundamentally stupid people in power. And stupid people make stupid mistakes. (See: Pete Hegseth, SignalGate I, SignalGate II, etc., et. al. ad infinitum.)

That doesn’t mean we stop worrying. Hell, no. This is all serious as a heart attack. But from the ludicrous legal paperwork that the likes of Pam Bondi has cranked out, I can understand why John Bolton isn’t panicking. He doesn’t need to. Bolton makes a good point about what a “fucking idiot” Trump is. What I know is that if Bolton was in charge and going after Trump, I would be one hell of a lot more scared than I am of this scenario.

This is Trump making his move towards a dictatorship. The only problem is that he’s almost 80, demented, and his toy soldiers are tripping over themselves, leaderless and fragmented and vying with each other for power.

Let’s just keep a sharp eye out; particularly on the No Kings protests, set for this weekend. That’s going to tell a story. And that story won’t be lost on Trump, even as oblivious as he is.

  1. As a vet…vowed to defend the constitution for all of our descendants, from foreign and DOMESTIC enemies…illegal orders should not be followed NO MATTER THE CONSEQUENCES. Otherwise, we veterans are joining our fellow 99% WHO NEVER TOOK THE VOW AND SERVED. The enemies run the show but require the REST OF US to either cooperate or look the other way. America decided a rapist pedophile, draft dodging, con man criminal and his henchmen are our leaders. PHUCK YOU AMERICA…YOU ARE GERMANY IN THE EARLY 30s. Expect the hell to come…me? I’ll follow John Wick’s course of never telling anyone what you plan to do.
