This is another one of those times when you stop, shake your head and say to yourself, “Is this America?” Yes, in 2024, this is America. I’m sure you had the same experience I did in 2016, which was waking up one person on Election Day and waking up a different person on the day after. If there was one thing I realized from the phenomenon of Donald Trump getting elected, it is that the America I had grown up in and the America in which I was living, were two different places. Talk about a dramatic perceptual shift. Now we are on the brink of another one, only worse. Let Steve Bannon tell you all about it.

Will the mass deportation include Rupert? This is Fascism 101, folks. 1. Identify the other; 2. Demonize the other; 3. Create a plan to eradicate the other, a “final solution” 4. implement said solution. And we thought that the horror of Nazism could never happen again. It’s happening and less than 100 years later and in the United States, no less.

If only way back 45 years or so ago when he was on the USS Foster (a Destroyer in the Pacific Fleet) while it was out to sea some sailor should have thrown his traitorous ass into the goddamn wake. And WHISPERED “Man overboard.” Then waited an hour to let the ship get a good twenty miles away before shouting it and sounding the general alarm. The ship and others with it would have stopped and searched in the wrong place while Bannon slowly drowned and this world would be a better place.
By accounts he was a solid officer and well regarded during his time as a staffer to top brass at the Pentagon, the type of posting that would portend a rapid rise in rank and likely in time an Admiral’s flag of his own. My guess is that his CO (and others) saw, despite his performance who he truly was and decided to run him out of the Navy. There’s an art to writing fitness reports and with just the right turn of phrase what to most people might seem innocuous can make or break an officer when a promotion board meets. Bannon’s job at the Pentagon would make him better suited than most officers of his rank able to recognize he’d never make it past Commander (O-5, the equivalent of Lt. Colonel) and maybe not that so he got out. With his dreams of being an Admiral someday and maybe even CNO dashed he decided he’d get even.
First he made his pile on Wall Street and since has devoted his life into payback against “they system” that he believed denied him what he felt he deserved. Tragically, his ego has been such he wasn’t content to fuck just the Navy, but the United States and even all of our allies. The whole goddam free world.

I’m still scratching my head and wondering hos Bannon has stayed out of jail awaiting an appeal, when every day the evidence of his continuing sedition against the USA because he never shuts his mouth, just like his buddy Trump.
