This reminds me of secrets in Hollywood. Remember the book, “Indecent Exposure” which was the story of how the head of Columbia Pictures forged actor Cliff Robertson’s name on a $10,000 check and Robertson decided to stand on principle and fight him over it, even though the executive, David Begelman, and his cronies were threatening to ruin Robertson?

Point being, before that whole thing broke wide open back in the 80’s, there were rumors about it. It was a hush hush deal, before it became Hollywood’s worst kept secret and then it exploded. This deal with Donald Trump’s motorcade and the Secret Service altercation on January 6 smacks of the same kind of a scandal.

Investigative reporter Hunter Walker is the newest to chime in.

Interesting. The D.C. Metropolitan Police Department was part of Trump’s motorcade that day and are expected to be questioned. I wonder if the J6 Committee has already questioned them?

If Hunter Walker’s name is unfamiliar to you, he’s written for Rolling Stone, New York Magazine, the New Yorker and the Atlantic. Those are some journalistic bona fides. If he says he’s got this source, I believe it. And he’s far from alone.

This was how the Indecent Exposure scandal started back in the day as well. Of course the top executive white washed it and denied it and then finally had to admit it. Then enough people who knew about it came forth, because it wasn’t just a simple case of embezzlement anymore, there were tentacles that reached throughout Hollywood and all the way to Wall Street. And then the floodgates broke. We’re almost there. Give it until the end of the week.

And don’t forget, Pat Cipollone is supposed to testify the 6th. He either will or he’ll do something else and we’ll see what that will be.

July is going to be a very hot month in Trump world.

Lastly: anybody seen Mark Meadows? I’m not the only one who’s asking every day.

I’ve said all along: Meadows is the linch pin and Meadows isn’t going to go to prison for Donald Trump.

  1. Well, the 4th of July is Monday and with it all the fancy fireworks shows around the country. But I’m thinking you might be on to something, and that we’ll wind up with a whole week’s worth of fireworks.

    • There are a number of things heating up concurrently. This issue is hot, Cipollone testifying is hot, and we haven’t even seen if Trump is actually going to do what Alex Jones said and announce he’s running. That could put a different spin on all of this.

  2. Patsy Bologna (I just love that voice typing changed his name to this) will definitely show. He’s a lawyer and smart enough to know he can’t pull a Bannon. Now whether he will actually answer their questions is another thing. His best bet is to spill his guts, because I believe they already have enough to negate any executive privilege (which neither TFG or Biden have invoked) w/the crime/fraud exception. My hope is that he has already met w/DOJ negating any opportunity Meadows may have for a sweetheart deal.

    • Biden refused to invoke privilege, probably because he had nothing to do with the office at the time, and their crimes are on them and the former guy (who keeps trying to invoke privilege, but he’s just Mr Former Guy now).

    • I think you’ve nailed it. I do not see, in any universe, the possibility of Cipollone taking the 5th or running from the subpoena. I think this will be the John Dean moment. I suppose anything is possible but for right now, tonight, that’s what I think.
