One thing is certain, there is no lack of material if you’re simply looking to cobble together a message about the GOP presumptive nominee’s lack of values and complete willingness to throw America to the wolves. Flip on the TV, go to Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, you name it, and it leaps off the screen at you. Donald Trump never knew a thing about foreign policy before he became president. His lack of acumen in that area was glaring. He didn’t know how to handle himself on the world stage and he was an embarrassment. He never will live that down and now some of those moments have been spliced alongside his most recent gaffes.

You can’t get anymore straightforward than that. It is nothing short of a disgrace that Trump is asking Republicans to stonewall passage of an aid bill to Ukraine. History will not remember these individuals and these times with favor. Howard Buffett, son of billionaire Warren Buffett, has taken matters into his own hands and is at least supplying ammo to Ukraine as they head into the beginning of year three of the Russian-Ukraine war. Business Insider:

But Howard Buffett, the elder son of Warren, the billionaire investor and Berkshire Hathaway CEO, has no intention of forsaking Ukraine or its President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
The wartime leader and American philanthropist have a profound mutual respect.
Buffett told Business Insider, “There are very few people in the world that could step up” and do what Zelenskyy’s done. “I think he’s a pretty amazing guy,” he said.
As a result, Buffett’s Howard G. Buffett Foundation has emerged as a stalwart ally to Ukraine since Russia’s full-scale invasion, injecting $521,779,225 into humanitarian assistance for Ukraine as of January 2024.
Buffett says, “it’s going to be one of the biggest mistakes that the United States makes historically if we don’t continue to support Ukraine.” That is such a no brainer but it’s astounding the MAGA pushback that exists in both chambers of Congress. This is so fundamental. America does not abandon her allies. America does not abandon or sell short NATO. But Trump and MAGA do because they’re profoundly stupid and they’re not connected to American values.
All the more reason it will be interesting to see who winds up at Trump’s VP. If it is Elise Stefanik, it will be the moment she disgraces herself permanently. But she’s so intoxicated with the idea of Dick Cheney-esque power, that she may in fact do just that.
2024 is a very complicated political year, what with the end of the Era of Trump in sight, the final collapse of the GOP, the war in Ukraine, the expansion of NATO (Sweden just joined) and a confluence of other factors. We see history being made daily.

I’m with you. Instead of funding egocentric boondoggles like flights into space, how about sending that money to Ukraine? A lot of good could come from billionaires funding righteous causes, like the Gates did with their funding eradication of malaria. There’s so much money out there, there’s enough for everyone, but there’s certainly plenty to stop Putin in his evil tracks and protect Europe and the world from his non-stop attacks on all of us. He’s declared war on the world. It’s time for the world to reciprocate.
They wouldn’t have all that money if there was a proper tax system, the money they have is stolen from everyone else. As Oxfam put it, ‘The existence of billionaires is an example of the failure of social policy’.

A REAL Billionaire DONATED MORE $ to Ukraine than Trump possesses. Trump probably DOES have enough cash, it’s just not legit cash. It’s ill gotten thru $ laundering, kick backs, pay to play, selling PPE’s stolen from the U.S. government & private businesses, from refueling US military planes at a TINY private airport near his UK golf course that begs the question of HOW such a SMALL PRIVATE airport would have the fuel tanks large enough AND the amount of fuel necessary to refuel military cargo/transport, and how much EXTRA the gov paid for that fuel instead of going to a U.S. base with fuel the government already owns. And this is just a couple of things we KNOW about. Trump can’t use this $ w/o drawing attention to which bank it was at, how much $ is still in that bank, where the $ came from etc
