No one can say Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is scared of battle. Especially when it comes to defending her fellow Democrats in Congress. And especially after last week’s conflagration between Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.), and Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas), where she stepped in to defend her colleague as the House went from decorum to chaos in seconds.
Now Ocasio-Cortez has some particularly sharp words that describe Donald Trump for exactly what he is: a shyster, carpetbagger, and a criminal.
The feisty New York congresswoman clobbered him on Tuesday, excoriating him for planning to hold an event in the Bronx, which is where Ocasio-Cortez was born and now partially represents in Congress. Trump has, of course, been in New York for more than a month due to his hush money trial, which, according to The Hill, has been going on for about six weeks.
“donald trump is broke. he needs money. he’s hosting a rally to try to con people and try to fleece them out of every dollar that they have to fund his own legal fees,” she told reporters.
“and by the way, he’s doing it in the south bronx, not to make a point, but because he’s got court and the man practically has the legal version of an ankle bracelet around him, and he can’t leave the five boroughs because he always has to be in court. And so it is truly an embarrassment to him.”
Well good. If anyone deserves to be embarrassed (and more) it’s him. And if his supporters are such dim bulbs that they keep throwing money at him, it merely highlights how ignorant they truly are.
As is typical, Trump campaign spokesperson Steven Cheung responded with a juvenile retort. This isn’t unusual for Trump and his team — to meet intelligent criticism with foolishness. He sniped that Ocasio-Cortez should “have she never says anything remotely intelligent.”
Even though it’s been mentioned more than once that Ocasio-Cortez graduated cum laude from Boston University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in international and economics.
I love this woman and I’m glad she’s in Congress to counter obnoxious and obviously unintelligent people like Marjorie Taylor Greene who disrupt civil discourse and prevent anything useful from getting done.
Cortez is doing her part in helping all understand the possibility of this materialising, however remote:
Ocasio-Cortez graduated cum laude from Boston University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in international relations and economics and Von Shitsinpants….might have graduated or might have been pushed through (most likely the latter) because daddy gave lots of money to the institution that enrolled the dummy. Quite frankly I’d say cheung demonstrated very well that the person (s) without the ability to communicate anything remotely intelligent would be cheung & Von Shitsinpants (I presume Von Shitsinpants orders his little serfs to respond and being the little lapdogs they are, they hop to it (and let’s presume the same for his unified reich shit)).
