Alec Baldwin has been known to be feisty. He’s not exactly a guy who hides his feelings. He even had to agree to receive anger management counseling in 2019 after a very heated spat over a parking space in New York City in 2019. Heck, he’s even been known to punch people on occasion.
He didn’t punch anyone on Monday. He did, however, get in quite the yell-fest with a pro-Palestine protester, however during an altercation in New York City, Mediaite reports.
Baldwin was walking near a pro-Palestine demonstration “when protesters spotted him and darted toward him, accusing him of supporting Israel,” according to The New York Post.
The obscenity-laden argument was recorded and posted to Twitter.
The video shows Baldwin barking at protesters, especially one in particular for asking “stupid questions” — since I couldn’t hear the question that clearly, I have to assume it’s about Israel. Then he took a step toward the question and shouted, “Ask me a smart question! Ask me a smart question!”
As police were escorting Baldwin away from the altercation, the protester shouted back something that sounds about as New York as you get: “Who the fuck you think you is, yo?!”
More fun ensued as Baldwin walked away with the men in blue.
“Why don’t you shut the f*ck up?!” Baldwin shouted. The protester responded “Go f*ck yourself!”
Then another protester stepped things up, telling the actor, “Nice to see you man, but you killed somebody, you know that right” Obviously this is a reference to the shooting on the set of Rust, which took the life of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins after a gun Baldwin was holding discharged.
“stop crying. stop crying. i can’t hear you because you’re crying so much,” Baldwin yelled at protesters.”
One man could be heard asking, “Do you condemn Israel?”
“no, but i want peace for gaza,” Baldwin responded.
Then a man could be heard on a loudspeaker saying, “Alec Baldwin, get the f*ck out of here.”
That might have been the best thing anyone said during this volatile altercation, where, fortunately, no punches were thrown.
I fail to understand how anyone can support Israel which continues to commit atrocities in Gaza, where thousands of innocent Palestinians have been killed. I will always condemn Israel for this, even if I am just a peon. It’s nice that he wants “peace for Gaza” but it’s clear Israel isn’t going to let that happen.

There are, as I understand it, about 7 million Jews and 7 million Palestinians living on top of each other. Hamas is evil and dedicated to killing Jews. The right wing criminal nazi running Israel is dedicated to killing Palestinians. I can’t say with any real knowledge, but it appears when you have heartless nationalists in power on each side, atrocities are guaranteed. The saddest part seems to be the common folk who have no power are the main victims. No one with a conscience can support either Hamas or the Israeli government. They both need to be neutralized. A two state solution is the only solution but it should have been done long ago. Now it seems as impossible as putting a broken glass, stomped on at Jewish weddings,back together. Biden is in a difficult bind, but those here in the US who think a nazi running our country will somehow improve the situation are phucking crazy. Trump will just pile up more bodies.
Well, I really liked your articles til now. I don’t know how anyone can support Hamas, the ones with the genocidal charter and actions. Israel is defending itself and all Western Civilization. Hamas plants their military operations amongst civilians so the civilians become military targets and people like you blame Israel. Any country would do everything it could to stop the enemy that did what it did on October 7th. And they have said they would like to do it again and again. Hamas continues to fight with their people as human shields, and shoot them if they try to flea.

Israel has a right to defend itself. HOW it does so is a more complicated question. Yes, like others in other wars many of the gomers use innocent civilians has human shields, setting up amongst them. Getting to and killing the bad guys is a choice between painstaking war fighting and indiscrinate bombing and shelling without regard for innocent life. Keep in mind the Palestinians didn’t pick Hamas to rule that little strip of Israel. Netanyahu and his Likud Party cronies and some even more hard core types in Israel did. KNOWING Hamas openly called for the slaughter of every Jewish person in Israel then and since. Why were they installed? Bibi and gang have fought a two-state solution all their adult lives. The Palestinian Authority in the West Bank isn’t great but at least they acknowledge Israel’s right to exist and were willing to work on a two-state solution, even with Israel IGNORING the U.N. provisions in place from the beginning and moving ever more settlements into the West Bank.
The point is that Hamas was picked and installed to wreck any chances of the Palestinian Authority gaining more leverage to stop the settlements and force negotiations towards a two-state solution. The Palestinians in the Gaza strip have never wanted (most of them) to have Hamas in charge. What happened on Oct. 7 was invevitable someday and someday arrived. I could write plenty more about Netanyahu’s complicity but I’m focused on how Israel is going about clearing the Gaza strip of Hamas.
The “kill em all and let god sort em out” crap ain’t cutting it. Worse, it’s costing lives around the world as people see it for what it is. Because of what Jews suffered in the Holocaust people are afraid to say certain things. Like Israel has engaged in the type of Apartheid South Africa did and which was condemned around the world. And now, the indiscriminate bombing and shelling and herding civilians into areas that are NOW being bombed and shelled are war crimes. I say that as someone who once was a Marine grunt.
It’s a fucking mess. But while any decent, sane person believes Israel has every right to send troops into Gaza to root out Hamas wants them to be mindful of the fact they are killing a helluva lot more innocent civilians than Hamas gomers. Because of it anti-semitism and attacks on Jewish people and their places of worship/gathering have seen a staggering increase and people are getting killed because of HOW Israel is fighting the war. Right here in the U.S. but it’s happening all over the world.
Let me ask you this. Russia has from the beginning purposely attacked CIVILIAN targets in Ukraine. Are there Ukrainian leaders, civlian and military in some of those places, especially Kyiv? Of course. Still, wouldn’t you say the amount of missile attacks that continue still are war crimes? Indiscriminate killing of countless civiians and destruction because a relative handful of people in those place are directly affiliated with the directing the war to drive Russia out?
