Fake News is Donald Trump’s battle cry simply because the truth hurts. Literally, the truth of what he has done is so damaging that if and when people find out about it, he’s screwed. He knows this. He has always known this.
This week has been a watershed in the life of Trump because between the revelations contained in the January 6 Committee transcripts and the revelations of his income tax returns, he’s been caught red handed lying.
What makes it worse, is that he lied in the presidential debates about all this — yet he is running again. He lied about how much he paid in taxes. He lied about having a Chinese bank account. He lied that he had zero conflicts of interest in his business, yet CREW records that he had 3,400 of them.
Day after day he gets on Truth Social and rails about how it’s other people who are lying, the FBI stole the election, the criminal referrals of the J6 Committee are unconstitutional, Mitch McConnell is in league with China, so on and so forth. He’s doing this because he’s scared. He knows he’s up against the wall right now.
A few weeks ago, one of Trump’s biographer’s Tim O’Brien, spoke about the “existential threats” which Trump is aware of in his life right now. Everything here is even more true now.

Trump is in a real pickle. He’s not going to escape all of these intense investigations in various jurisdictions. The least that will happen is New York makes it impossible for Trump and family to do business in that state.
He will continue on his merry way as usual, grifting money and soon he’ll start going out on rallies, to fuel what O’Brien calls his “media addiction.”
But don’t think that that means things haven’t changed. Things have dramatically changed. Trump is freaked and anytime now you can expect another multi-post meltdown on Truth Social.
And here’s a bonus. These are people who also hate the press and what they call “fake news.”

He was always your classic “big fish in a little pond”. Now he’s stuck in the same ocean as a lot of vicious sharks with no way out or back…just like I said well before it got fashionable to. I swear, this has been Stupid Macbeth from start to finish.

Really? Not to actual business people. Much as I disagree with damn near everything that comes out of Romney’s mouth, he was on target about trump’s bankruptcies as proof he is anything but a businessman.

Or better yet, euthanize him.
Locking him up would be better punishment. Denying him freedom of movement, putting him into even less flattering clothes, etc. I wonder if he’d survive one month.
