There has been a number of responses to the debacle on Monday where Donald Trump betrayed the U.S. to Russia. My favourite response so far is from Rep. Adam Schiff.
Adam Schiff points out the necessary issues, which makes me know that he is a respectable, insightful member of the House Intelligence Committee. He says, “Donald Trump’s behavior yesterday was an unprecedented betrayal of our country’s values & interests. Reagan. Clinton. LBJ. JFK. It’s impossible to imagine those presidents showing such reckless disregard for the guidance of our intel community & America’s national security.”

And also this, which shows that he is not willing to duck controversy and call it like he sees it: “There are some in this Administration who believe they are protecting the republic by remaining at President Trump’s side. After the debacle in Helsinki, they must ask if they have instead become enablers, and can better serve our nation by resigning in protest.”

But it’s statements like the one below, that really make me respect this man:
I would say that I completely believe President Trump misspoke and that he has full faith and confidence in the members of our intelligence community and understands that Putin and Russia were fully responsible for intervening in our election.
Sorry. I meant wouldn’t.

BOOM! Schiff just won the internet and clarified this whole mess.
And a huge thanks to the social media for this one. It’s the obvious response:
