This is one of those “the picture tells the story” pieces. All you need to do is see what Donald Trump is reposting on Truth Social and nothing more need be said. We knew he had a messianic complex. And he’s right. He is the messiah, hold the i-a-h.
Trump has a new gambit on Truth Social these days. It’s quite transparent. He communicates by reposting.
It might be weird or tacky for him to come out and say, “I am the chosen one. I am here to save western civilization.” But to repost somebody else saying it — aah. Now that’s easy. Mission accomplished, idea communicated, and he’s blameless. He just reposts what he finds, right?
I mean, other people are coming up with these exposes on Ron DeSantis’ wild flings with his high school students back in the day or these pithy observations about the crucial role that Trump plays in the world, now and by way of historical context, and he merely passes it on, as a kind of public service, you see.

DeSantis quipped yesterday that he was too busy working “to smear other Republicans.” That’s you, Ron, it’s not Donald.

This is what you’re going to see for the next 20 months. What a long strange trip it will be. That’s how it’s started out, that’s how it’s going to continue. And as with all things political in this day and age, expect it to get worse.
I like the “they don’t know what Trump is going to do” – I doubt if Trump knows what he’s going to do once Pence has finished his chat with the Grand Jury (apart from throwing even more ketchup at the wall)
The person making that comment is one of the QAnoners who think that Trump is this omnipotent being. You know the whole drill, the internet and all broadcast outlets will go dark, and then Trump goes forth to regain power, send everybody he doesn’t like to Gitmo, the works.
There will always be a Faithful Few who continue to embrace Trump, just as there were some Russians who longed for another Stalin in the 1960s. But the great majority of voters now feel something for him that is more devastating to his hopes than hatred: they’re BORED by him.
That’s the comedic part of this. People used to leap at Trump’s every verbal dropping, now days go by and almost all of his videos and thoughts are ignored. Occasionally something like this surfaces, that people can mock, and so we do. But believe me, there is not the audience for his b.s. like there used to be. I know. I got in this business in 2016.

One one occasion Trump thought western liberalism meant hippies in San Francisco. Seriously. He never heard of John Locke or any of those guys. If you mention the progenitors of western thought, Trump will think you’re talking about some guy eating avocado toast in Santa Monica. He had no clue.
He most likely still doesn’t have a clue about anything Ursula 🙂
