We are jaded now. Like every crowd in need of a schadenfreude-induced dopamine hit, we need stronger and stronger doses. Trump regularly rants on Truth Social about whatever is causing him to panic that day. Some days he seems to do it just to be doing something.
Last night stands out. Last night was unique. Last night was fancy.
Trump went off on the fact that the January 6th Committee is referring its findings to the Justice Department and, even more angrily, lashed out about the fact that the Democrats in Congress are putting Trump’s taxes into the Congressional record. Here’s our boy, on his Truth Social Account, which is linked here:
“The highly partisan Unselect Committee is illegally leaking confidential info to anyone that will listen. Adam “Shifty” Schiff is all over T.V. talking about Criminal Referrals, just like he was on the Russia, Russia, Russia Hoax, which turned out to be the con of the century. How much longer are Republicans, and American Patriots in general, going to allow this to happen. These are the Criminals who spied on my campaign, cheated on the Election, lied to FISA Court & Congress. They are SICK!“
Russia, Russia, Russia was actually not a hoax. Mueller charged several Russians with crimes, and Mueller had to charge a lot of people around, you, Donnie, because – for some reason, they kept lying and making false statements to the FBI. Strange.
Don is very scared about his taxes going public:

If you can’t learn much from someone’s tax returns, why did you go to the SCOTUS twice to withhold them? Oh, and it may or may not be a crime to publish someone else’s tax returns, but – unfortunately, Don, they’re talking about putting them in the Congressional record. One cannot be charged with a crime for anything “said” while standing in the floor of the House or Senate. This is akin to that. Sorry.

IF ANY PART of the above was true, Trump would have published the records in full-page New York Times ads and he would have set out all the glorious details in 2015, giving people weekly updates as he kept “winning.” Given that none of it is true… Don? Please to be fcking off now.

Our country seems okay. Unlike the days under Trump, there are some reasons for optimism right now (though a lot of fears regarding the Right-Wings threat to democracy.)
Anyway, that session got a little hot, kinda wild, and an incredible release. Makes one almost want a cigarette unless you’re the type that’s never smoked. Might get a Diet Coke, feel a little drained.
