The floodgates of Truth Social are open right now. Donald Trump continues to post piece after piece in a manic frenzy. Will somebody grind a valium into his Diet Coke? Today he has managed to cobble together a vast conspiracy on the part of the Department of Justice, which like all things Trumpian is totally half vast, when you get down to it piece by piece.

Trump persists in deflecting away from his own malfeasance and accusing others of wrongdoing. That’s his favorite sport.

Trump is now elevating right-winger Mike Davis, a former Republican senate and White House aide, and author of the Article III project, (a group which uses hardball tactics to get Republican court nominees approved) to high stature. “What I want to do with the Article III Project is take off the gloves, put on the brass knuckles and fight back,” said Mr. Davis, according to the New York Times. .Here’s how a conspiracy theory gets rolling.

Now this leads to the straw man, who is FBI agent Timothy Thibault. Newsweek says Thibault was an FBI assistant special agent in charge who was involved with the Hunter Biden laptop investigation, who has recently retired from the bureau.

A security source told Fox News that Thibault, who worked at the FBI’s Washington Field Office, was escorted out of the building on Friday as is standard practice when an agent leaves.

Thibault had recently been accused of being “politically biased” by Republican Senator Chuck Grassley, in a letter sent to FBI director Christopher Wray and Attorney General Merrick Garland.

Trump reacted to the news on his Truth Social website, saying: “The fired agent who was just escorted out of the FBI headquarters is the person who got the FBI to do a Raid on a home, Mar-a-Lago, that has “stirred” the World and created anger and hostility toward the FBI and DOJ the likes of which have perhaps never been seen in our Country before.

“The ‘Special Agent’ In Charge of the unprecedented and unnecessary Raid and Break In of Mar-a-Lago, who concealed the partisan nature of evidence to secure the FBI’s approval to open an investigation into the 45th President in the first place, was also involved in the hiding and suppressing from the Public and the Media, the ‘Laptop from Hell,’ the 2020 Presidential Election Scam, and so much more!”

Per usual, Trump doesn’t have the facts straight.

Fox News said that, contrary to Trump’s assertion, Thibault was not involved in this month’s FBI raid on Mar-a-Lago “at any level.”

The network also reported he retired, and was not fired as the former president has said.

But then again, Trump never lets the facts get in the way of a good story, right? And of course it continues. Stay with me now, this is starting to get obtuse. That won’t prevent this from being characterized as a “shock and awe” headline on Red State any moment now, but it is a tad difficult to follow. So if you find your eyeballs rolling in your head while your jaw drops, we understand.

Paul Sperry, who is E.F. Hutton to Trump nowadays, is a right-wing journalist who called Bernie Sanders a die hard communist, just to give you a point of reference.

Trump is grinding it out. Either he’s dictating or his stubby thumbs are getting sore. Nero fiddled while Rome burned, Trump “truthed” while the GOP tried to figure out whether to stay in Hell with him or try to regroup and do something different.

Stay tuned. It’s pretty obvious that Trump is attempting to characterize the Mar-a-Lago raid as the most illegal thing in the history of the world. Expect more of the same.

  1. Bitchin witches stirring up their brew. Easy fix. Since we, as a country lock up over 2 million citizens, a huge number because of the politically motivated & hypocritical war on drugs; let’s release all political prisoners who violated nixon’s criminal law concerning cannabis, thereby freeing up plenty of room for traitors, starting with the orange boar hog. Let the innocent go free & lock up the guilty. I thought that was what the law was all about. This is no time for institutional hypocrisy. As Saint Francis stated, an injust law is no law at all. The bitchin is easier to stomach coming from a prison library.

  2. Y’all now it’s a real conspiracy to kneecap Trump when there is real evidence. Such as, in this case, Thibault, spiking cases that go against Hunter & Joe

  3. I’m suddenly reminded of the closing verses of “Good Day” by the Dresden Dolls:

“Now the war is over,/Mussolini’s dead/He wants to go heaven/With a crown upon his head.

“But Mark says no,/He’s got to stay below/All dressed up/And nowhere to go.”

And just think…in a couple of years, he’ll be thinking of THIS as the good old days…

  4. The world isn’t “stirred” donny. They might be wondering what took so long to finally do something about the many crimes you’ve committed.
