Obviously, Jenner is doing this for the money. But does she know what she’s getting herself into? Unless I miss my guess, the Fox News audience hates her. They regard her — and trans people generally — as freaks, to be mocked and derided.
Regardless, apparently the ink is dry on the contract and Jenner can go on to talk about how people at the airplane hangar are distressed by homelessness in California and other bon mots.

She may be humbled now, but I think she’s going to be distraught shortly. The Fox News audience doesn’t like her kind. Although, maybe that will in fact work to her advantage. Maybe the opportunity to laugh at her to her face will have some kind of value. Didn’t Greg Gutfeld make fun of her?
I don’t think CNN could have done so without being a complete laughing stock, because Jenner is so grotesquely uninformed. She’s like Sgt. Schultz, she knows nothing, nothing.
Let’s see how this one plays out. My instinct is that Fox News hired her as a freak show segment. It may fly, ala Jerry Springer, or it may not.

Oh, Caitlyn will be fine. She’s going to be the right-wing’s token trans person. She’s already put herself squarely in the camp with the transphobes (agreeing that people should use the bathrooms that match the gender they were assigned at birth and arguing against transwomen participating in women’s athletics programs, just to mention a couple of her points) so she becomes the network’s cover. (Just like Alveda King and Diamond & Silk can be counted on to support the right-wing’s anti-Black points.)
Whatever hate she generates will be offset every single time she backs the haters’ own transphobia. And she won’t even recognize any of the self-loathing trans attitude she projects.
Meanwhile, CBS is bringing in Mike Mulvaney to ‘balance’ their reporting. ??? How is adding a tRump liar to the staff balancing anything? According to Steven Colbert, CBS is hedging their bets, since they think that repuQ’s are going to regain power in the mid-terms and they want to be ready. Ugh!
