I’ve had the opportunity in my life to watch people crash and burn in real time from substance abuse, but not via TV and social media. I’m sure those of us who were young adults in the 80’s all remember how cocaine became a fixture in the work place — or at least it did in mine. I worked in the motion picture studios from 1979 to 1984 and saw a lot of insanity go down behind drugs.
So, on that basis, Junior doing his thing on right-wing media is nothing new. In fact, it’s rather pro forma and predictable at this point.
Junior goes nutty with regularity now. The nearest I have his last binge scoped out, is it started on Thursday. Tonight is Sunday. Here’s where we are.
Sunday night. Junior has been up since the party started Thursday.
His heart rate is 200 BPM & is sputtering in his chest like a fork in a blender.
In the corner of each eye are shadow people darting out of view.

I missed the shadow people altogether. Oh, well. Too late to go back to my youth now. I thought it was plenty misspent, but evidently it wasn’t misspent enough.

I seriously wonder how many more of these pieces we’re going to do. Junior could start
- Bleeding from his nose; This I have seen, or;
- Convulsing. Seen that too;
- Break down and start sobbing maudlinly. That I’ve seen as well;
- Pick up the phone and call for help? I’ve never actually seen that, only heard about it after the fact.
And yes, Junior, we are aware of what we’ve lost. We are aware that the world could be in God knows what condition if Ukraine was the FUBAR that your insane father still in office would guarantee. We are all aware of how many more people could be dead from COVID. One of the beauties of the early Biden administration is that there was no more delay in getting vaccinations. And we are certainly aware that staying out of the Paris Accord and back in the Stone Ages with respect to climate change would only have hastened the hands on the Doomsday Clock and there’s not much time left in any event.
But dream on, Junior. Dream on that America mourns. And be sure to put a lot of pillows on the floor around where you sit and stand because they might save you from getting a nasty concussion when you finally keel over.
We’ll be watching — we guess. As long as you keep going on right-wing media, we’ll pick it up and share it. Nothing like spinning out of control like a drunken top and doing it on TV.
I have several neighbors who have tRump flags and posters in their yards. One of the says “miss me yet?”, with TFG’s image. I’m thinking not no, but HELL NO!
Back when dinosaurs ruled the earth and I was on active duty in the Corps we used that phrase a lot except we used a much stronger word than “hell” if you catch my drift. And I still use the expression, and with the stronger word too!
My neighbor has a huge “Let’s Go Brandon” on a 20′ flag pole. 45/Pence 2020 signs on his wrought iron fence and a side flag “Don’t blame me, I voted Trump.” He was a dentist in town and now retired. I got my teeth cleaned last week and asked hygenist (who was quite liberal in our discussions) if she worked with him. Yup. Told her about the flags. Per her: He’s like that and he likes poking the bear. He thinks it’s funny. Really? Hubby and I won’t have anything to do with the asshole.
When I think about how fucked up my family was, I can always console myself with the knowledge that the Trump family makes us look like Ozzie & Harriet or some other fictional perfect family.
Junior’s epitaph, which unless he gets help might be carved into a headstone sooner rather than later will be “I tried so hard but Daddy never loved me!”
Wannabe Princess Ivanka and Eric have their own problems (both legal and in their personal lives) to be sure, but Don Jr. is in a whole different league. All three are in deep shit, but think for a minute. What is the one Trump you haven’t heard a peep from through all this mess that has grown daily since that ride down the escalator in front of the paid to be there crowd? Who has, even with her first born so publicly melting down like those Nazis in the Ark opening scene of Raiders of the Lost Ark been NOWHERE to be found?
Trophy Wife #1 Ivana Trump seems to be in witness protection. Not that Trump himself or any of the kids would want to hear anything from her. And after that messy divorce part of her settlement included the quite Trumpian provision that she couldn’t say anything (well, at unless compelled to via a subpoena) about her marriage. However as far as I know there’s nothing that says she can’t at least publicly offer support to her kids. The silence from her is deafening. As I said it’s one fucked up family, and Junior’s mom not putting out some kind of statement in support of her son who is clearly in mental crisis, some type of platitude about being worried and hoping he’s okay and that she’s there for him if he needs support (which she knows won’t happen because Trump would disown him so she’s safe on that score) is for me mind boggling. Maybe through her own business ventures she’s comfortable enough financially to not need any positive PR. That she’s out of fucks to give regarding her kids and sees a lot more downside to speaking up than any benefit, and she simply has no maternal instinct left in her.
I find it an interesting point to ponder, and I sure wish someone would ask Mary Trump who knows all the players including Ivanna and has actual training to assess those mother child relationships for her thoughts on this.
Mary has commented on Ivana. Mary said Ivana was as cheap as Donald, routinely regifted presents and was responsible for Mary’s mother being banished from the Trump family holiday get-togethers. I think Ivana is a lot like Melanie – she knew who her husband was and was OK w/ it until she wasn’t.
I do not think Ivana has anything of interest for the attorneys. Back when she was married to the oaf he was still trying to at least act like a businessman, still had daddy bankrolling him, and Cohn was still living. She was either pumping out brats or outselling her husband in the real estate biz. There might be a non-disclosure agreement or maybe not but I don’t think he was a full-out criminal back then.
