Maybe I’m at a disadvantage having been born female, and so long ago, but I truly do not see the advantage of teaching a child how to shoot a firearm, let alone an automatic weapon. I think it’s fine to wait until a kid is in high school, let’s say, and teach him or her responsible gun ownership and marksmanship. And I shoot guns myself. I was trained to fire a handgun, a Smith & Wesson .45. But a 12-year-old? With his own AR-15? But then we’re talking about Donald Trump, Jr.

The kid might have assembled one, say from the pieces you’d have when fully field stripped for cleaning but MAKE one? In a single morning? I call bullshit. However, it’s well within the grasp of a twelve year old to put together the component parts as I earlier described. But that’s all this poor kid did. Hell, it might not have been from a full set of field stripped parts! I’ll bet the bolt carrier group was already put together for him.
I learned how to handle, shoot and clean a shotgun at a much earlier age but that was because my dad started out being around and teaching me to hunt squirrels and rabbits – I started out and stayed a hunter who only killed what was going to be eaten and since I never really like rabbit I stopped hunting them. My dad also DRILLED proper gun handling and safety into me from even before I got my first shotgun at age seven. Like my friends, I wouldn’t have dared take my dad’s shotgun out of its case (kept stored unloaded in the closet) or my own once I had one unless it was for maintenance or getting ready to load it up and head into the woods. I rather doubt Junior’s son has ever gotten the kind of discipline drilled into him that kids of my generation got.
Hitler took this mentality to its logical end, training kids in the Hitler youth camps, promoting bullying & eventually killing. In the end, as Russian troops bombarded Berlin, & him down in his bunker,(sounds familiar), 10 year old children were placed in battle for a lost cause. Since the most ruthless groups burning villages,(with the villagers locked inside), were his youth brigades, I doubt the Russians showed mercy. Sick evil. Guess that description is redundant. Of course, the talking beard cares nothing for history or what was said on videotape 1 minute ago that contradicts what’s being said now. I’ve done a lot of drugs & natural substances in my life that cause one’s ‘grip’ on reality to slip slide away. However, I can’t imagine being in the kind of altered state that allows me to express love to my child by teaching them to glorify weapons of mass murder. Guess that’s what Jesus meant when he was reported to say it isn’t what goes in a person that defiles them. It’s what comes out of them bringing what is in their heart to light. Or, if they lack a heart.

Desperately unhappy and maybe abused. Meanwhile PsychoDaddy looks coked up and rarin’ to go. Those poor kids. I hope their mom can maintain some sanity and safety for them. Keeping them way from any tRumps would be a good start.
I learned at an early age but I grew up on a farm. And it was a long time ago. That kid if that’s a current photo has no need to mess with an ar15. My son-in-law was shooting the other day and when he pulled up on his farm he let us try the gun he was using. It was some form of an ar15 as some are different than others. And I will tell you what. He set up a milk jug filled with water a couple hundred yards away and gave me the gun. Well I took aim and fired and I blew hell out of that milk jug. I didn’t tell him I grew up shooting and he seemed disappointed. He let the wife shoot a few times but I didn’t get anymore tries. That kind of weapon has no place in the hands of anyone that’s not an adult. It doesn’t just hit the target. It destroys it. The other thing I noticed. Those kids wanted to be anywhere else besides with daddy I guarantee it.
