I suppose we should give this young man credit for honesty. At least he did say the quiet part out loud. He’s right. There is such a thing as “Republican News.” It started about 25 years ago when Rupert Murdoch put Fox News on the air. Since then, its tentacles have grown and there are many arms of Republican News now, including the one that this guy spoke to.

Now here’s where the cancer is: It’s not about Republican News or “Democrat News” it’s about the truth and lies. What this guy is calling Democrat News is the mainstream media and truth. What he calls Republican News is right-wing propaganda and conspiracy theory channels.
This is the problem with this country right here. We have gotten so stupid in this country that people don’t know the difference between fact and opinion. I wrote here recently about my concern for an unvaccinated friend. She told me when we spoke that her also unvaccinated, flat earther husband, “feels as passionately about his views as you do about yours.” My response was, “I’m not defending a ‘view’ here. I’m talking about reality. We have a global pandemic on this planet, which by the way is not flat. We are talking about life and death.”
Speaking of flat earthers, voila. It’s no surprise that they support Trump.

This is becoming more common as the anti-science loons win out. That’s the lamentable reason that Dr. Fauci has become the lightning rod for anti-vax idiocy. They have to make somebody the target and so it’s logical to pick the expert to revile.
We also did a piece here recently about Sherri Tenpenny, the crazy M.D., whose newest lunacy is that COVID is somehow related to quantum entanglement and credit scores. Beyond parody, but the only people laughing are the ones smart enough to see the obvious, the yous and mes and how many of us are there? And do they outnumber us?
I hope we outnumber the crazies. Truly I do. But every time I see a clip like this, and cast my mind back to the 74 million ballots cast for Trump, I cringe. I cringe and I wonder.
We STILL need those 74 million strait jackets and padded cells…
We need the 81 million that showed up for President Biden to show up this mid-term. I truly believe that this may well be our last free election. It’s already not going to be fair in some locales. We need to bring back the Fairness Doctrine or something along those lines and get these propaganda channels off the airwaves. If we can hold the House and gain a few seats in the Senate we may just get this democracy back on track.
