The twentieth anniversary of 9/11 was quite memorable, one for the books even, but not for the reasons which you would expect. Yes indeed, there were the fine tributes coming from the sitting president and from presidents past. There was also Donald Trump acting out on video against the Biden administration, in lieu of observing the solemnity of the moment. What else would you expect from the man who watched the towers fall and then crowed about owning the tallest piece of real estate in Manhattan?
But it got worse. Trump did his color commentary on the Holyfield-Belfort match, which was over swiftly in one round and he also did this little ditty you’re about to see, an address to the Moonie conference. — for a second fat pay check of the day, reportedly. That raises the issues of a) Does he even know who the Moonies are? More importantly, b) Does he endorse the war against the Deep State which the Moonies are preparing for from their compound in Texas?
In addition to getting paid to announce a boxing match on 9/11, Trump cashed a big check for this comical pre-recorded message to the Moonie conference today. This is cringy. pic.twitter.com/2shkXWiztN

I actually have a soft spot right now for the Washington Times because of their exclusive expose of Mike Lindell, which I found amusing. They got the first interview with Josh Merritt, of Lindell’s “red team” — you remember, there were the White Hats and the Red Team? No? Well, never mind, nobody else understood what the hell Lindell was talking about or what those labels meant either.
Back to the Moonies, Sean Moon purchased a compound in Texas. He owns a gun manufacturing company and he’s preparing for war with the Deep State. That was written about last May.
Plus, they were at the riot at the Capitol. This is not trivial, this is worth looking at. Subversive elements in this country are actively preparing for armed confrontation. At least, that seems to be the argument here and it’s worth taking a look at, at least. Not trying to monger fear, trying to say let’s be awake.
Yes. The Moonies, as they've always been, are a far-right cult. When I was in the Moonies, I prayed & fasted for 72 hours on the Capitol steps to show my loyalty to Nixon during Watergate.
Since the death of Moonie leader Sun Myung Moon in 2012, the group has splintered.

Sean Moon wears a crown of bullets and his "church" worships with AR-15's. He purchased a 40-acre compound in Texas to serve as a "sanctuary" for what he says will be a war with the "deep state." https://t.co/s3LBfb4lv2

But don't be confused. This sect of the Moonies, is in NO way fringe. They are actively interwoven into the power structure of the modern GOP. Steve Bannon has spoken at church events, as well as Pennsylvania state senator Doug Mastriano, who organized “Stop the Steal.”

So this is where we are.
As I always say, PLEASE don't condemn true believers. I myself used to be one. I was in a far-right cult and once believed democracy was Satanic!
Let us instead focus on these manipulative groups and the leaders who WELCOME their participation.

Everyone deserves to have freedom of mind. If we all commit to learning HOW mind control works, we could help rescue fellow Americans who've been CAPTURED by these bad actors.

This is sobering. It will take you a while to even glance through these articles but it is worth the read. This is part of what I’m talking about when I say that the lunatic fringe of the GOP is now running the show.
And what is the old school GOP going to do about any of this? Who knows? I’m sure Mitch McConnell wonders that himself, since he’s the titular head of the old school and Donald Trump can’t say enough bad things about him.
This will all get a lot stranger before it gets resolved, on that you may depend.

The song says it all!
Ah, the Moonies. From the time I first heard of them it was of them being a weird-ass, fucked-up cult. Some things never change I guess. Although in this case perhaps things did actually change and for the worse. Still, although it’s juvenile, sophomoric teenage locker room thinking whenever (and I mean every time) I hear about these folks my first thought is that if I ever encountered any of them my first instinct would be to say “Hey Moonies – check THIS out while turning, dropping trou and literally mooning them. That’s more respect than they deserve.
“Rod of Iron Ministries” sounds so very loving and peaceful. /SSS (much sarcasm)
They were bad enough when they first arrived in the US, and they’re worse now.
Are they any crazier than the Mormons with lost golden plates or scientology with past aliens? Not really.
