Firing James Comey was the stupidest thing that Donald Trump did up to that point, and history will probably remember it as one of the stupidest things he ever did, period. However, he looks to have learned nothing from the experience and word is that he’s looking to fire Christopher Wray for saying the obvious, that Russia is interfering in the 2020 election.

This tidbit comes from a Newsmax reporter, who used to work for OANN.  That begs the question of whether Trump is planting this piece for some reason. It’s not like it’s going to detract from dialogue about Russian interference, that’s for sure. Plus, this is what Trump said yesterday.

And then Wray said this about white supremacists.

As expected, that went over like the proverbial lead balloon. Doug Collins chimed in. It’s evident what segment of America he’s looking to identify himself with.

It will be interesting to see if Trump tries to fire and hire another FBI director between now and November 3. That act alone would seriously shake up an incumbent’s reelection, if we were in any kind of a normal world. Here, it’s just one more epically stupid move in four years worth of actions of the same caliber. The Trump Show is a morbid, demented cartoon and it will be a delight to see it canceled.

    • I am seriously wondering why Trump’s buddy, who owns Newsmax, would be running with this. And obviously Doug Collins is all fired up. There’s something missing here.

      • Maybe they think they have some big, “gotcha” moment or something. I am sure they have been trying very hard to come up with another clever plan, that will fall apart.

        • I can only think of two things: 1. Trump and Barr’s “October surprise” has to do with FBI corruption and so that’s being prepped for with this stupidity; or 2. Newsmax just feels like doing its own thing and doing CT, and they’re extrapolating too much from Trump’s angst with Wray. This is one of those pieces that I can’t decide if it’s actually going to lead to something, or if it’s National Enquirer time.
