This is wonderful. The Lincoln Project has nailed the essence of the Trump “presidency” which is that to Donald Trump, this is all a television show. He never wanted the actual job of president, he just wanted to be the president on TV. And everybody knows it. All the word’s a set and all the people merely bit players — and he’s the star. Trump is like Norma Desmond, they live in their own bubble world of delusion. Except the Desmond character really was at the top of her game at one time. Trump never had a game to be at the top of. He’s just a celebrity who is famous for the sake of being famous — more on the order of Zsa Zsa Gabor than any president we know of. He’s an invention of the tabloids.
Lincoln Project has picked the perfect episode to “satirize” and I put it in quotes, because there is no satire here. Trump and cabal are beyond parody. They really are ridiculous per se. But the Chris Wallace interview truly is more ridiculous than most of what Trump has said and done — and that’s saying something with SharpieGate, bleach drinking, lightbulbs and dishwashers, death ramp, we could go on.
Without further ado, you be the judge. Here’s “Trumpfeld.”

YES, we certainly could go on with the stupendous idiocy of Trump, but as I’ve said before, it is sad but true, all the other countries we would like to work with have given up on our joining in anything worthwhile as Trump has shown himself to be the uneducated thug he is … an example … who do we find in Germany?
Ms. Merkle, she has top honors in the tough world of chemistry …
Trump? Zero, [0], nada, nothing … What work around to find serious credit from Germany? Trump literally stole a quarter million face masks from Her shipment on its way to her docks, bought and paid for … now if I was a betting man, I would think Trump has shown the true lizard he is to Germany and our talks with Germany have been damaged permanently by ZERO everything Trump …
This particular jab at Trump is fitting and well matched to his style of talking fast and over the interviewer … Chris Wallace, has proven to be a little more like his dad, and Trump is SO bad at doing the right thing for our country now with so many people dead and more to follow, Trump should just go home, on way to court appearances in NYC … very good Lincoln Project again …
Comparing Trump to Merkle is like comparing a fly speck to an eagle. The woman is brilliant. So is Justin Trudeau. So are many of the world’s leaders. Even Boris Johnson is not as much an idiot as Trump is. He’s unique. I’ll give him that.
That’s a pretty low bar you’ve set for ole Boris. I mean, how hard is it to step over a (thin) bar that’s laying on the ground?
The laugh track definitely adds to the experience. Who knew DJT could be funny?
The laugh track makes it. I love the laugh track. And we’re going to have the last laugh. Oh, how I look forward to that!
A fake laugh track for our fake president’s fake words.
“He’s just a celebrity who is famous for the sake of being famous — more on the order of Zsa Zsa Gabor than any president we know of.”
Actually, that’s an insult to Zsa Zsa Gabor. She actually started her career as an actress, and she appeared in a number of films in the 1950s. She had a key role in John Huston’s “Moulin Rouge”and in “Lili” (with Leslie Caron) and even played two roles in the mystery film, “The Girl in the Kremlin.” And, of course, the movie with which she’s most often associated, the quasi-cult classic “Queen of Outer Space.” She also had a lot of guest roles on television (including a near-classic episode of “Gilligan’s Island” and even played the villainous, villainess Minerva on “Batman”).
While it does occasionally seem like she was a celebrity who was *JUST* “famous for being famous,” she actually had a legitimate career (as well as all those marriages) unlike the two great-granddaughters (Nicky and Paris Hilton) of her second husband (whom she accused of raping her, which led to her pregnancy).
Ok. He can spot an elephant, he just can’t locate the elephant in the room.
Donald Trump Covid-19 press conference: “Yada, Yada, Yada.”
The laugh track is the icing on the stupid cake! This ad is spot on!
He’s an IDIOT !
