I like the Biblical tone of this piece. “Let’s read from The Book, shall we?” inferring that Mary Trump’s book, Too Much and Never Enough, about the origins of Donald Trump is similar to the New Testament, and Fred and Mary analogous to Joseph and Mary. But I wonder if they’re not playing with fire. Trump has already called himself the Chosen One and made allusions to how he and Christ were both “builders.” This might send him over the edge, to add Mother Mary to the mix.
But hey, getting Trump out of the White House is my religion these days. I know no other. Blessed be all efforts to that end. Amen.

Oh dear- one mistake. Mary Trump was white and protestant, but not ‘Anglo-Saxon’. They were English – she was a Scots Celt.
That’s why the Scots (and Irish) call the English ‘Sassenach’ (Sasanaigh = ‘Saxons’. Asa native speaker from Scotland, she would have been mortally offended by being referred to as a Saxon
