Why does Trump see himself as a kingmaker? Could it be because the constant donations to his political PACS are the easiest money he’s ever made in his life? Seems like that’s a good place to start, in all events.
Trump wants to keep his beak in the trough, plain and simple. So of course he wants Susie back in her old post, plus he got to scapegoat somebody for Tuesday’s rout at the polls, when the plain fact is that if any one person is to blame, it is Trump and Trump alone.
Greene’s analysis sounds good to me. She clearly knows this territory. The question is, how well does Trump know it and how long can Susie Wiles keep Trump believing that she knows it?
And the biggest question of all is, can these old dog learn some new tricks? I say no. Trump is unteachable. What he’s going to do now is double and triple down and that’s not going to work anymore. That message was delivered on a silver platter on Tuesday but evidently Trump can’t read it.
