Two of the Furkids – namely Bailey Boo-Boo Zen Kitty and Loula Belle Kitty – overheard the dulcet tones of Bailey’s mommy, Sebastiene, singing Joy to the World during a show on her Black and Orange YouTube channel, and they loved it! Of course, they passed it on to the Furkids team, who added it to their list for a future column. Today they announced that that future was here! (I admit I was confused at first until they explained) So, Joy to the World is the song they have to have this week.
I did point out that the second half of the song is somewhat repetitive, but they felt strongly that this was a good thing because it would help the hoomins learn the words quickly so they could sing it out loud at full volume! I couldn’t argue with that.
So here it is. Just press play on the jukebox, then scroll down to the illustrated lyrics and sing along.
We know everyone is doing it tough right now, so we are extra super thankful to everyone who bought the Furkids a frothy Kofi last week. Your generosity brings joy to our world. All proceeds from ko-fi.com/furkids go towards Loula’s health and well-being. We’re saving up for her next vet visit. In the meantime, Loula sends everyone loads of purrs, snuggles and kitty kisses.
