All is not well in the Justice Department. Prosecutors are leaving by the dozens. One would expect Todd to think about why this is happening and try to fix it. That seems not to have occurred to him. But all the ridiculous immigration cases and the lack of respect and, oh yes, now being Trump and Blanche’s attack dogs. Who wants to work in that sort of atmosphere? People did not sign up for that when they joined the DoJ. Fortunately (or unfortunately), lawyers are always needed everywhere. From the RS article:
More than 5,000 employees resigned, retired, or were fired from the Justice Department during Trump’s first year back in office.
More than 5 thousand. That’s a lot of people to lose. Some of them were people who helped Jack Smith as special counsel. Obvious. The overworked attorneys in Minnesota, due to the glut of ICE agents in Minneapolis shoving illegal immigrants into the courts for various reasons. 14 of them left the Minnesota branch of the DOJ in a single month.
So let’s think about this. Some of the firings were as a result of the work for the two Special Counsels on Trump’s 2 cases. That was only the beginning, because there were a lot more lawyers who left or were fired. With all that was going on with ICE, one would think to retain talent, not to kick it to the curb. Regretfully, we’ll never know of any reasons except for those already stated. It certainly would be interesting reading.

Attorney General Todd Blanche complained that the wave of prosecutors who left the Justice Department “hate us” and have banded together against the department in opposition to President Donald Trump’s leadership. Blanche said most of the department’s prosecutors and agents are “great,” but that changing the “perception of the culture” has been his hardest task.
“And so that’s where I do think transparency works going forward, where when President Trump thinks there’s something that needs to get fixed, guess what? He tells me, but he also puts it on Truth,” he said, referring to Trump’s Truth Social platform. “So there… you know, there’s no more deception there,” Blanche continued.
Let us cry crocodile tears for him. “They hate us.” Gee, ya think???!!!! Considering the foolery going on with the Department of Trump as opposed to the Department of Justice? No. Just nope’d out of there. If we think the change to attack dog instead of justice is wrong, well, we would hit the road, too. And we’re not exactly thrilled about what the department has become.
It’s such a waste. No one can push back against Trump. Todd is quite happy begging for bones of recognition and approval. We have a *lot* of things to fix if we get a democratic president. The DOJ should be up near the top of the list. And hopefully the triumphal arch will not be complete at the end of Trump’s term, and it can be torn back down. Get the people who took down the East Wing. And it will be someone’s full-time job to remove the gold everywhere. Any of us would happily volunteer. Wouldn’t that be fun?
