Earlier this week there was news coverage about a clearly visible rectangular object covering Trump’s showing through his pants AND suit jacket. I recall writing about it and included the same title pic I’ve used here showing Trump on the WH lawn with his ‘butt contraption’ clearly in place. In other words the incident in the news the other day wasn’t some one-off. Trump clearly has some sort of thingy he wears sometimes. How often? We don’t know but today it sure looks like he went to some effort to conceal his once again wearing what’s becoming infamous as his BUTT CONTRAPTION.
Just what the hell is this thing and why does Trump keep being seen wearing it? His physical health is clearly declining every bit as much as his cognitive health. There’s speculation (including by me) he’s lost control of his bowels and it’s some sort of heavily padded bedpan – shaped like a rectangle so as not to resemble the kind you see used in hospitals. Or maybe he’s got a huge case of painful hemorrhoids and it’s a sitting pad with a cutout in the middle. Whatever. The point is this seems to be something Trump is increasingly wearing/using.
That it got into the news complete with photos and video had to have been a massive humiliation for Trump. A leg brace showing through his pants is one thing, but a device worn on his butt? To be snarky it’s literally making Trump the butt of jokes and memes! I think it’s safe to say Trump knows his butt contraption has been noticed and worse, anytime he’s on camera someone will try to get a shot of it. That means he has to come up with a way to keep that from happening (if he can) and as we learn from The Mirror US today he seemed to have found a way. Scuttle sideways like a crab.
According to the linked article Trump was hosting a group of crypto and tech leaders in the Roosevelt Room of the White House yesterday. Trumpty was characteristically way late (over a half hour) to the meeting. Alas the cameras were waiting and rolling when he finally entered the room. His guests were standing on either side of a podium waiting when the door finally opened. Trump said hello, and stood there for a few seconds before taking a couple of steps forward. That’s when it got weird. He sidestepped his way to the podium so he remained facing the cameras the whole time! From the linked article:
He then made a notable sideways step toward the right before stopping again. The president stood still before stepping sideways once more as he finally reached the podium. The unusual sideways steps meant that the president remained forward-facing to the cameras the entire time.
If Trump thought he’d figured out a way to both hide his butt contraption and keep people from talking about he was mistaken. As you can see his movements were awkward as hell:

Yes, people did notice and worse for Trump started commenting on social media:
Eagle-eyed viewers were quick to point out the unusual movements. “34 minutes late, barely moving, out of breath, and what’s up with the walking sideways?” one X user questioned as they shared the video. “Walking like a crab and the color of one,” a second remarked. “It was a very unusual entrance. And the red face and huffing and puffing isn’t reassuring,” another said. It comes after press secretary Karoline Leavitt accidentally humiliated Trump as critics asked about his ‘diaper.’
I got a kick out of the “walking like a crab and the color of one” comment. Could it be Trump is one of the ‘Crab People’ sometimes making trouble for us humans in certain South Park episodes? Since they intend to take over the world it kind of makes sense that Trump would be a real life version of one! For now we can enjoy Trump trying (again) to hide some sort of health problem he’s got – and failing! We have a President being held together with duct tape and bailing wire. He’s never been fit mentally for the office he holds and if he showed plenty of reasons to be concerned about his health in his first term, he’s way worse now. And with each passing week showing more evidence of decline.
