This guy. Can’t keep himself out of trouble. He goes out and pontificates about something that has the effect for most people of rolling their eyes. He just won’t quit with the pontificating about the way America should be. He would get along with Stephen Miller very well, come to think of it. They share some startling characteristics, such as despising immigrants. And racism. They love them some racism, yes they do! With appreciation for Raw Story:

Despite having been forced out of the job after a disastrous federal takeover of Minneapolis, President Donald Trump’s former Border Patrol commander Greg Bovino continues to push extreme claims about illegal immigration — and one legal expert brought down the fact-check hammer on him Tuesday. Bovino has repeatedly claimed for months that his goal is to deport 100 million people. He doubled down on this Mondayclaiming on the Breanna Morello Show that he has personally verified there are 107 million unauthorized immigrants in the United States — a number which, as X-based political account Dominic Michael Tripi noted, “exceed[s] the semi-official number of 20 million by over 5x.”

Yea no. He’s *still* full of it. The only good thing about him is writing pieces showing him as an idiot. He wants to run for President? Uh, huh. That’s not going to happen. There are far too many obstacles in his path for that one. And now he wants to deport more illegal immigrants on a number that is so far from correct it’s laughable. How did he verify that number, anyhow? Inquiring minds want to know. It should be fun to find out his version of fractured math. The guy is as bad as Trump. He chooses his worldview, and that’s the only one that matters. Meh.

Bovino explained that he arrived at this number by looking at a financial report from the now-defunct Bear Stearns company in 2006, which he claims proves there were already far more immigrants than official tallies. He then extrapolated using the assumption that millions of people have been crossing the border illegally every year over that 20-year period — something he claims to have seen with his own eyes.

This entire thing is complete nonsensewrote American Immigration Council senior fellow Aaron Reichlin-Melnick. “To give you some sense of how pants-on-head whacko this number is, it would mean there are somehow over 90 million people living in the country that the Census missed; that 1 in every 4 people was undocumented,” wrote Reichlin-Melnick. “Also, the semi-official number isn’t 20 million, it’s 14 million.”

Oh, boy, so *that* is how you do the math ….. yea no. It *absolutely* does NOT work like that. That’s so far beyond fractured math that there isn’t a word for it. He’s stuck back in 2006. Or something. We don’t want to know. We’re better off not knowing. This guy is a lunatic! He can’t get his numbers right. He’s not working for America, so how *is* he going to deport illegal immigrants? This doesn’t parse.

Bovino’s claims are easy to prove wrong just by looking at birth statistics, said Reichlin-Melnick. “It’s a hard number to fake. Almost everyone gives birth in a hospital, and hospitals report all births. If 90 *million* extra people came over the last 30 years, births would be up massively. But they’re not!” he wrote. Moreover, “Last year there were under 1,000,000 babies born to Hispanic mothers. Given that number, Bovino’s laughable 107 million estimate would mean that Hispanic women in the US have the lowest fertility rate of any population ever recorded in human history.”

Annnd another yea no for Bozoino! He must be singing “To dream / the impossible dream” (etc) every night as he goes to sleep. How did this guy get to manage ICE/CBP? He certainly doesn’t seem to have much intelligence. He’s not particularly attractive, but that’s only my personal opinion. Yours might be different. And he has a worldview that does not fit in with reality for the rest of us. There’s not much else to be said about this, and him.

See you soon!

Friends, I know everybody begs you for money. I promise you that, of all the outlets bugging you for spare change, we are the smallest and the hardest-working. We’re a bunch of old, disabled people, except for one writer in his mid-50s. But the rest of us are in our sixties and seventies, and this is a labor of love. All we’re asking for is the ability to continue our quest to tell the truth about Trump and help ensure democracy survives. If you can help, please do. Thank you. Ursula
