It’s time to sweat, sweat, sweat, as most Republicans are not in a good, safe seat for the midterms. There is too much going on with Trump that is dragging down Republicans, and only a few have managed to tear themselves away from him. They might have a chance. But anyone who is stuck with him is going to have huge trouble trying to get their own words out there. Trump is a monstrous loudmouth. He thinks everything is about him, which it isn’t, and we love doing things to show him, such as No Kings, which proves the points we are making. Figuratively speaking, of course. Republican National Committee Chairman Joe Gruters made an impassioned plea to Fox Business viewersto visit the GOP’s official website over fears of what a midterm election loss could mean for President Donald Trump. Speaking with Fox Business’ Maria Bartiromo, Gruters warned the network’s viewers that if Democrats regain control of Congress, Trump’s presidency could soon be in jeopardy.
Hail yes, it could be in jeopardy. All that needs to be done is to look at the way Trump has ruined America and Republicans, some helping him outright, some helping by not doing anything at all, and yes, there will be an impeachment! Trump has done nothing good, ending up with the Forever War with Iran. And they wonder why we’re pissed off? America is an all-fired mess! Republicans need to start thinking about what they have *not* done in response to everything Trump *has* done. The reason is right there!
The latest polling data shows Democrats heading into the midterm elections with a strong advantage as Trump’s favorability among Americans reaches historic lows. A recent Emerson College poll showed Democrats with a 10-point lead among likely voters, which, according to MS NOW, suggests the party could “pick up 15 to 25 seats for a more robust majority.” Polling data has also suggested Democrats have a growing chance of taking back control of the Senate, something analysts once thought to be near-impossible. At the very least, Democrats are seen as having a “plausible path to Senate majority,” MS NOW reported, though it remains uncertain.
Senate majority. That has a lovely sound. That has a *marvelous*sound. It would be highly surprising, but there is no reason not to dream big. There is no reason not to work big. Our chances continue to improve every day. So yes, go big, go bigger! We can keep our spirits up. We can watch the numbers on Election Day. If enough of us do this, perhaps sheer willpower will get it done. Yes, that sounds amazingly metaphysical. But then, why not?
Gruters also took aim at the progressive candidates who had recently won Democratic primary elections across the country, victories that some analysts have described as the Democratic Party’s equivalent to the conservative Tea Party movement, the movement that saw far-right fiscal conservatives oust multiple GOP incumbents with significant backing from billionaires Charles and David Koch. “We have to elect these MAGA warriors across the country to defeat these socialists that are being elected on the left,” Gruters continued. “We can do it, but we need everybody’s help.”
Socialists elected on the left. Heh. It’s all about the most “dangerous”, depressing words. They don’t want to change Republicans and Democrats. It’s just another description. Most people have feelings attached to socialism like it’s some sort of monster under the bed. It’s not that way at all. It’s one aspect, one piece of the whole person.
But now it appears that our chances of flipping *Congress* are closer than they were a few months ago. People are sick of ICE. People are sick of the skyrocketing prices. People are sick of Trump not giving a damn. People are sick of Republicans enabling Trump. What seems to need to happen is that we do *not* want to follow in the footsteps of the Republicans. When we get in there, it needs to be done RIGHT.
