This gem really got me thinking about how much Trump has changed, even during the first period of his second presidency. The difference between one and two is amazing. The difference from when he took the oath of office to now is amazing. Yes, it really is, honestly sad. You’ll soon see what’s happening. Incidentally, the headline picture is of Trump in his first term. Below is him now. Thanks to Raw Story:

An author who has written four books about President Donald Trump said on Saturday that the president’s “political charm” is starting to backfire on the administration. For years, part of Trump’s appeal to voters has been that he does not course-correct when things go sideways, journalist Michael Wolff argued in a new episode of “Inside Trump’s Head,” a podcast he co-hosts with Joanna Coles of The Daily Beast. However, that strategy appears to be failing him as the administration and the Republican Party limp toward the 2026 midterms.
Starting to backfire. That seems odd until you take a closer look. Overall, he does not course-correct in almost anything, except for kicking lawsuits up to his Supreme Court. But those decisions have not all gone his way. They said tariffs were unconstitutional, and Trump was raging about it for days. He was also raging because he had to give some of the money back. That made us very happy, and we laughed about it for days. Let’s just hope that they block the birthright amendment. That’s a huge, huge concern.
“Course correcting is the absolute opposite of what he does. Trump is strictly a double-down guy,” Wolff said. “It’s part of his political charm in its way. ‘I don’t pander, I don’t give a s—. I just do what I’m going to do.’ And for various points that have been impressive, even charming, to lots of people.” “But at various other points, it’s calamitous, and I think we’re at one of those points,” he added.
Well, his charm wasn’t charming to us. It was bloviating and bullying and babbling and bullshizzle to us. We looked beyond the surface charm and saw what he was really like, even if no one believed us. MAGA loved him, and other people thought he would do well because he was a businessman. Nothing could be further from the truth. He was chaos in a human body and still is. It’s just getting worse.
Wolff noted that Trump seems to have stopped discussing issues that matter to the MAGA base in the White House, citing conversations he’d had over the last week. For instance, Wolff said Trump still measures the economy’s success by stock market performance, which doesn’t resonate with many MAGA voters.
He’s also been raging about the Federal Reserve and the White House Ballroom, two other issues that don’t appeal to MAGA, he said. “Everybody around him, their response is frustration, but I think they have to convert that into patience because you can’t tell him, ‘Hey, we’re really heading for disaster here.’ They are heading for disaster. No one can say that.”
We can only imagine the explosion if someone was brave enough to tell him that. Then he would go out and rant on ‘Truth Social” and do exactly what he pleases anyhow. He thinks he can pull a miracle out of his phone. He can’t. We don’t have miracles these days. Look at the Iran War. Supposedly started to change the regime and give the people back their country. All he actually did was use up a bunch of munitions that will take years to replace, and put an even harder-line regime in the country. Yes, we blew up some stuff, as Hegseth likes to crow about, but other than that, nothing was really accomplished.
So, yes indeed, they are headed for disaster in a big way. It’s not only the war, but it’s also inflation and the economy that Trump keeps lying about is in great shape, and the cost of gas, and the cost of almost everything. Oh, yes, plus ICE/CBP and their bullshizzle. We don’t give a damn about his ugly ballroom or his vendetta on the Federal Reserve. We’re the ones bending under the weight of living in this country. He doesn’t care, but he can’t “BS” us anymore.
Wow, I got wordy on this one. See you soon!
Friends, I know everyone begs you for money. I promise that among all those asking for spare change, we are the smallest and the hardest-working. We’re a group of elderly, disabled people, except for one writer in his mid-50s. The rest of us are in our sixties and seventies, and this is a labor of love. All we’re asking for is the chance to keep telling the truth about Trump and help ensure democracy survives. If you can help, please do. Thank you. Ursula

Yor being “… wordy …” surely in penning those words, it was goodly and cathartic for your mind, body and soul.
Ahaha thank you!
