It appears that our president is losing his charisma and his people. He can’t do the things he used to. And he was embarrassed at a gathering. Remember those insane rallies he had with people packed into any and every corner? Not so much these days. He’s lost a lot of what made him Trump. Most people don’t care anymore. Respect to Raw Story:
Donald Trump’s ability to pack arenas is evaporating. The president who once filled sports venues across the country couldn’t even come close to filling a 4,500-seat Arizona church on Friday night, exposing the dramatic erosion of his political momentum.
According to the Washington Post, Trump was the featured speaker at a Turning Point USA rally in Phoenix at Dream City Church. Despite his boast earlier in the day on Truth Social about addressing a “BIG CROWD,” the turnout was sparse and underwhelming.
My goodness! That‘s so sad to hear … for Trump. Not for us. We’re perfectly happy to see how he’s fading, yet he still sees himself as the leader of the country. This is an undeniable truth. He knows it but will never, ever admit it. Former President Biden was pushed into not running for office again. He knew himself and his good and bad points. Now, he wasn’t perfect and didn’t try to be. Trump *always* thinks he’s perfect. Yes, we know better and have for a long time.
The attendance numbers tell the story. A Turning Point USA spokesperson claimed only about 3,000 people attended — meaning the church was roughly two-thirds full at best. For a president who once commanded arena-sized audiences, the half-empty megachurch represents a stunning reversal. The demographic breakdown was equally telling, reports the Post. The megachurch was supposed to be a venue for Trump to drum up support among young voters.
Instead, he found an audience whose members skewed older and were focused on divisions within their own party. Even longtime supporters were shocked by the sparse crowd. One Trump voter, Diane Niemann, a retired dental hygienist, told the Post she was “was not planning to come to the Friday event until she saw there was hardly a line to get in.” “I’m totally shocked,” Niemann said.
It’s interesting to see how far he’s fallen. He doesn’t appeal to younger voters much anymore. After all the stupid and expensive things he’s done, it’s not a big surprise. His voters are hurting as much as we are. We are all hurting, and it’s mostly due to Trump. He makes horrible decisions. He really no longer cares for anyone but himself and possibly Barron. Everyone else can go jump.
The causes are multiple and converging. Voter dissatisfaction with Trump’s unpopular Iran war is depressing turnout. The declining fortunes of TPUSA after founder Charlie Kirk was killed have weakened the organization’s mobilization capacity. And underlying economic anxieties are sapping enthusiasm.
Niemann herself acknowledged the political vulnerability. She’s worried about the midterm elections, and her daughter in Las Vegas has been complaining about gas prices, the Post noted. At $4.98 per gallon, even longtime political activists can read the political tea leaves.
BOOM. There ya go. Trump is rapidly losing any influence he has left. TPUSA is falling apart. Republicans are having a great deal of trouble with elections. Serves them right after they have been slobbering over and doing what Trump wants because they think Trump will protect them. Now, nothing could be further from the truth. He’s going downhill. Nothing and no one can stop it.
See you soon!
Friends, I know everyone begs you for money. I promise that among all those asking for spare change, we are the smallest and the hardest-working. We’re a group of elderly, disabled people, except for one writer in his mid-50s. The rest of us are in our sixties and seventies, and this is a labor of love. All we’re asking for is the chance to keep telling the truth about Trump and help ensure democracy survives. If you can help, please do. Thank you. Ursula

This.
Is.
Stupid.
(And no shade to you, Susan. You’re merely quoting another source which really needs to learn how to craft a story.)
“One Trump voter, Diane Niemann, a retired dental hygienist, told the Post she was “was not planning to come to the Friday event until she saw there was hardly a line to get in.”
My issue with this is she says she WASN’T planning to come but then she “saw” there was “hardly a line to get in.” So, she WENT there–despite saying she WASN’T “planning” to do so–because there’s no conceivable way for her to discover that “hardly a line” if she wasn’t there to begin with. Then again, she’s one of HIS voters so she probably didn’t catch the flaw in her own story. She HAD to have planned on attending or she could NEVER have known about the relative lack of a line.
Ooooo okay, thank you. It was late and I missed the flaw in the story. Yes, you are absolutely correct.
