Pam Bondi has been really fired, not just demoted to some other position. Donald Trump earlier told Fox News that she would serve elsewhere in his administration, but then he got on Truth Social and contradicted himself. Bondi really pissed off the mob boss, it would appear.
“Pam did a tremendous job overseeing a massive crackdown in Crime across our Country, with Murders plummeting to their lowest level since 1900. We love Pam, and she will be transitioning to a much needed and important new job in the private sector, to be announced at a date in the near future, and our Deputy Attorney General, and a very talented and respected Legal Mind, Todd Blanche, will step in to serve as Acting Attorney General,” the president said.
I love it that “Legal Mind” is capped. Lawyers all over the country will be howling at that one. And whatever happened to Lee Zeldin? Beats me, he seems to have been forgotten, at least for the moment, or maybe he turned down the position. Being Trump’s attorney general is a thankless task, go ask Bill Barr.
Raw Story is now reporting that Alina Habba’s name was “in the mix” for a Bondi replacement. Heaven help us all.
He’ll probably bully a handful of uber-rich donors to kick in two or three million each to fund a new version of KKKris Kkkobac’s voter fraud commission. Enough to pay her a nice bribe/salary to continue stonewalling Congress, have some staff and a budget to travel around the country to make a show for TV cameras confronting state officials about voter records.
I sure as hell don’t see even a highly conservative law firm wanting Pam Bondi’s name on their letterhead!
