Wow, the lack of thinking is not doing well these days, specifically in our government. Am I being too picky? Because it certainly seems as if their brains are leaking out of their ears. The stupidity is running rampant, and I may have to try to find a stronger description than that. I know I’m not hyper-intelligent, but I do have a brain I know how to use. Are these people all running around with nothing but air between their ears? (My apologies for the delay of this one.) With appreciation to Raw Story:

The internet reacted with uproar on Friday after Attorney General Pam Bondi appeared on Fox News, saying the Trump administration has focused on “citizenship fraud.” Bondi spoke to Fox News about the Trump administration’s immigration policies and the escalatingaggressive denaturalization efforts,” prompting a number of responses. “Being a citizen in our country is a privilege, not a right. And Donald Trump is going to have everyone in this country who deserves to be here who is a citizen,” Bondi said.

What the hail does that mean? Citizenship fraud? That makes no sense. Either you’re a citizen, or you aren’t. Pretty sure there’s no way to fake that. Now, we have people who are applying to become citizens, and I wish them much luck. This crap about the Dreamers has got to stop. They were born here; therefore, they are citizens. And Trump is trying to take that away, assisted by sycophant Blondi. What’s the point? Oh. Wait. Cruelty is the point. Damn.

Plenty of people had thoughts following Bondi’s comments, rebuking her statements and calling out the administration. //// “If true, get this disloyal anti-democracy moron on the first deportation boat for White Trash Island,” former MSNBC host Keith Olbermann and podcast host wrote on X. //// “What the f— is that supposed to even mean? Of f—— course it’s a right if you’re a citizen. That’s the dumbest f—— thing anyone has ever said on Fox, and there’s some pretty dumb competition,” writer and political commentator Kelly Scaletta wrote on X.

Yep, that was my reaction, too. What *does* that mean? Sounds like she was just parroting words, without thinking about what they actually mean. Regretfully, this is nothing new. Blondi isn’t making much sense these days. She’s certainly following in the footsteps of her Dear Leader. Allow me to mention how much I laughed at “White Trash Island”. That was beautiful!

“Calling citizenship a ‘privilege’ kinda/sorta/definitely ignores how the Constitution works. If you’re a citizen, that’s a protected right – full stop, not something a president gets to hand out or take away based on who they think ‘deserves‘ it,” operations team lead Stacey Wernick wrote on X. //// “It literally is a right… and you mean white people is who Trump wants,” liberal commentator Rodger Williams wrote on X. //// “Given the Admin’s position on birthright citizenship, it’s hard not to see this as a direct message to the Supreme Court,” reporter and host Grant Hermes wrote on X. //// “I envy the confidence stupid people have to just go on the news and say s— like this,” software engineer Alex Jewell wrote on X.

Every one of the comments hits the nail on the head. The most worrisome is the message to the Supreme Court. If I remember correctly, there is a case coming up on the exact thing – citizenship. They’re trying to get children born here thrown out of the country, along with their parents. And oh lawdy, please keep the SAVE act, that isn’t a save at all, from getting passed. I couldn’t lay my hands on my birth certificate very easily, and my passport has expired. So, what am I, or anyone else, supposed to do about that? Trump is trying to rig the midterms and cut people off from voting. He doesn’t realize it could hurt his people, as well as ours. Blondi is yet another moron, doing what she’s told. And how she has any self-respect left after all she’s done for him is quite a question. The more news I see, the more I wonder about Trump’s ‘cabinet’. They’re making a giant mess of nearly every damn thing.

See you soon!

Friends, I know everyone begs you for money. I promise that among all those asking for spare change, we are the smallest and the hardest-working. We’re a group of old, disabled people, except for one writer in his mid-50s. The rest of us are in our sixties and seventies, and this is a labor of love. All we’re asking for is the chance to keep telling the truth about Trump and help ensure democracy survives. If you can help, please do. Thank you. Ursula
