Who knew that George Orwell was a prophet and his dystopian novel a playbook? That is literally the case right now. 1984 was written in 1948 and Orwell decided just to reverse the last two digits. How could he have known that 2016 was really the year that all the concepts of his totalitarian world would be realized? Here is a perfect example of Double Think and Double Speak from Senator John Kennedy.

I wonder if we can all, as a nation of 330 million people, get some kind of therapy when all this is over? If we’re not all totally crazed and walking into walls by then.
And there is one thing of note here which needs to be observed: Trump doesn’t get away with all his madness alone. He’s got the GOP backing him and his worst impulses. That’s the problem. Trump has his party of enablers and no matter how far out there he gets, they follow him and normalize his most extreme behavior.
If the GOP ends up losing big in the midterms, it’s completely on them. They drank the kool-aide early on and they continue to whip up a new batch and drink it daily.
If the corrupt Repugnicans pass Trump’s Orwellian SAVE Act, then (as he said himself) they can’t lose the mid-terms and then they’ll not lose any elections for the next 50 years. That’s right from the ass’s mouth.
