In an all-caps Truth Social announcement, that was reposted moments later to fix multiple typos, the president declared, in part, “I HAVE INSTRUCTED THE DEPARTMENT OF WAR TO POSTPONE ANY AND ALL MILITARY STRIKES AGAINST IRANIAN POWER PLANTS AND ENERGY INFRASTRUCTURE FOR A FIVE DAY PERIOD, SUBJECT TO THE SUCCESS OF THE ONGOING MEETINGS AND DISCUSSIONS.”
*That* is a large part of why they’re unhappy. Trumpty TACOed again. And as we later found out, he lied about the supposed discussions. Y’know, in a manner of speaking, Iran is in the catbird seat. Deranged Donnie has left himself no way out. He can either bomb the country or look weak and pull out. He’s not going to want to do either because it will make him look bad. He’s doing very well at that anyhow.

Yikes. There’s no dancing around for them. They are flat out saying what they feel and what they believe. Dense Donnie should pay attention. Personally, I don’t see any decent answer for what to do. I want us to leave, to get out of this damn war. But Iran is still standing strong, and pulling out could lead to a lot of ugly things happening, such as dropping a bomb (I think it was a bomb) really close to one of Israel’s power plants, about 10 meters away. That’s not just fancy shooting; it shows Iran still has plenty of fight left in it. And since we are allied with Israel, well….

All valid points. And we also need to reopen the Strait. It’s costing *everyone* time and money, because it’s not just oil sitting out there. It’s cargo for other places in the world. We already know those will get bombed. Nothing is safe to pass through the Strait of Hormuz. We need to think about that, too. Dumbass Donnie needs to make a decision and stick to it. Waffling around is going to do nothing good and may make things worse. He needs to pick one.

Susan, I read you every day and generally agree with you, but c’mon, Israel is our ally? They’re nobody’s ally, unless you count bombing the USS Liberty and probably having something to do with 9/11 as allied-behavior. Iran is much more prepared for this fiasco than our dimwit president. Yea, Iran surprised Donnie all over the place. The man is an idiot, as you said, because he (nor Petey Boy) put any thought into what would happen when we started bombing Iran.
