(Please?) One thing is for sure – she had best be on top of things on her depositions because that’s what got Gnome. And as an AG, she should know better than to lie. But then, she already knows *how* to lie. She has to be caught, and that could be possible in either direction. Yes, we do catch her is the preference, of course. Can hardly wait to find out what comes out of *that* one. If she gets punted, and then Petey Boy screws up enough (war crimes, anyone?), we might get rid of the 3 worst ones. Then we need to figure out how to get Satan’s child, Stephen Miller, out, and that one is going to be tough. Thank you, Politico and Raw Story:

After Republican lawmakers orchestrated brutal questioning that led to the firing of DHS Secretary Kristi Noem by Donald Trump, Attorney General Pam Bondi now faces similar congressional pressure and could suffer a similar fate, reports Politico. Bondi is facing intense scrutiny over her handling of the Jeffrey Epstein files. As many as 20 Republicans may be prepared to move against the nation’s top prosecutor for deliberately slowing the release of materials. On Wednesday, five Republicans joined Democrats on the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee to subpoena her testimony.

Yup, Blondi made a major misstep on the Epstein files. She’s supposed to know the law, and the release *is* a law. She’s trying to protect ‘important’ people and Trump, but it has backfired on her in a serious fashion. Delays, information disappearing and reappearing, and outing the survivors. It’s hard to comprehend that her loyalty is above the law. There comes a point when she has to cut her losses and release the files. But if she does so without redacting Trump and the ‘important’ people, her job is on the line. Well, with this subpoena and her upcoming testimony, it may already be in jeopardy. FINALLY.

Noem’s back-to-back disastrous congressional hearings this past week exposed the depth of Republican distrust in her leadership and demonstrated Trump’s susceptibility to GOP sentiment. For Bondi, the implications are ominous. When asked whether Bondi still commands support among House Republicans, Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN), who voted to subpoena her, was blunt: “I don’t know.”

Ouch. It would appear that she’s walking on either very thin ice or a razor’s edge. It’s going to be difficult for her *if* she answers the subpoena. There’s still a chance she won’t. And who will handle getting the subpoena to her? Ooo, so I just looked up how a subpoena is done. One way is through a judge. They need to go to BadAss™ Judge Tanya Chutkan. I’d bet she would be more than happy to give them a hand with this. H0 h0 ho.

GOP anger has centered on Bondi’s handling of the Epstein case. For months, her approach has infuriated the MAGA base, which has long demanded the federal government release case materials and hold powerful figures accountable for crimes. Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC), who introduced the motion to subpoena Bondi, made her position unmistakable: “I’m not impressed with Bondi on the Epstein files, and I’ll make that abundantly clear when I depose her whenever that day comes. She’s lost a lot of support among the base [and] up here as well.”

BOOM. She’s screwed up. And she keeps screwing up. Slow walking the files to cover up certain people has backfired. We all know they’re in there, even if we don’t know any specific people, like we know Trump is. There’s going to be some tough questions coming her way. Most of the people in Congress are relatively intelligent. They’ve been watching her with this for a long, long time. Hell yes, she’s going to have tough questions. I can hardly wait to hear what comes out of there, no matter when it happens. It will happen.

See you soon!

Friends, I know everyone begs you for money. I promise that among all those asking for spare change, we are the smallest and the hardest-working. We’re a group of old, disabled people, except for one writer in his mid-50s. The rest of us are in our sixties and seventies, and this is a labor of love. All we’re asking for is the chance to keep telling the truth about Trump and help ensure democracy survives. If you can help, please do. Thank you. Ursula

  1. I wonder if she ever watched Apocalypse Now and from the beginning instead of skipping to action stuff. In particular a moment from that meeting in which Martin Sheen’s character is told who he has to kill and why. If so, the part about the snail on the razor might be haunting her dreams these days:
