An employee of the U.S. State Department was reportedly shot to death by a Virginia state trooper after four women and a dog were stabbed. According to the Virginia State Police, the trooper arrived at the scene of a crash on I-495 on Sunday to find Jared Llamado, 32, holding a knife. The trooper also said that four women and a dog had suffered stab wounds.
It seems he wanted to be number one in 2 ways. One is for the weirdness, and the other for using a knife instead of a gun. Now, mind, this is facetious. We can be sure it was nothing of the sort. Although it is possible that we have sick people in the world like this. At least Trump only attacks people verbally. He’s too fat to try anything physical.
A State Department spokesperson told WTOP that Llamado was employed as a foreign service officer. “We are aware of the tragic incident that involved a Foreign Service Officer and occurred on Sunday, March 1, in Fairfax County, Virginia. We extend our deepest condolences to all those affected by this tragedy,” the department said in a statement.
At least they didn’t say thoughts and prayers. Condolences are a lot different than that platitude. Everyone knows how much that irritates me. It’s pretty words without anything behind them. Condolences are an acknowledgement without being fatuous. It’s a marvelous change.
Llamado and one of the stabbing victims, 39-year-old Michelle Adams, died of their wounds, police said. The dog was also reportedly killed. (That’s just adding insult to injury. Are you listening, Krispi?) Three of the women were said to be recovering from serious knife wounds. Llamado’s LinkedIn page indicated that he had worked at the State Department in a technology role for about 1.5 years. Police did not believe that the incident, which followed a traffic accident, was related to terrorism.
No, it was an idiot with a knife. Since he passed away, we have no idea what was in his head. It seems that it was “just” road rage. We should be happy it wasn’t terrorism, and hope the other 3 women are recovering. What a world we live in. What a world.
