Yes, another piece about Trump having a fit over the SCOTUS decision against him. But there is some humor here, so it will be worth it. He still doesn’t like being told no. He’s going to harp on that for weeks. It seems they are not as much in his pocket (or attached to his ass) as he thought they were. He has upcoming cases to worry about, too, but that’s for another time. As usual, with gratitude to Raw Story:
President Donald Trump slammed liberal justices after the Supreme Court ruled against his tariffs on Friday. In his first public comments since the decision, Trump called the high court’s ruling “deeply disappointing” and described his frustration following the 6-3 vote during a White House press briefing. “The Democrats on the court are thrilled, but they will automatically vote ‘no.’ They’re an automatic ‘no’ just like in Congress, they’re an automatic ‘no,'” Trump said.
Dude. If he wasn’t such an idiot, it wouldn’t *be* an automatic no. When cases are blatantly biased toward Trump, except for this one, thank heavens, *someone* has to be the adult in the room. *Someone* has to point out the nonsense, and they are brave enough to do so publicly. The liberals are also correct. It’s nonsense. The absolute immunity hogwash is one very good example. Except we noticed that he said ‘liberals,’ even though some conservatives also joined the liberals, stating that this was illegal. Hmm.
“They’re against anything that makes America strong, healthy, and great again. They also are a, frankly, disgrace to our nation, those justices. They’re an automatic ‘no’, no matter how good a case you have — it’s a ‘no.’ You can’t knock their loyalty. It’s one thing you can do with some of our people.”
Hrm. Wasn’t healthy supposed to be RFK Jr’s purview? The guy who’s making medicine go backwards? We didn’t know the Supreme Court did that, too. We learn something new every day. Ooops, almost missed the “strong” part. It appears that SCOTUS has all of that. If so, why are they allowing Trump to rampage through damn near everything and screw the American people? They’re supposed to have morals and follow the law. Heh.
Trump claimed he had tried to use discretion around his tariffs. “I was very modest in my ask of other countries and businesses because I wanted to do it and it’s very important, I wanted to be very well-behaved because I… didn’t want to do anything to affect the decision of the court,” Trump said. “Because I understand the court. I understand how they’re very easily swayed. I wanted to be a good boy.”
A good boy? Trump? Yea no. Now you see the humor in this thing. “I wanted to be a good boy.” Nothing could be further from the truth. He’s a bad boy, and not in a way we would call good. Tariffs were supposed to be the US’s way of flexing its global muscle. Well, they flexed everything *away* from us, even those that were once our allies. Trump wanted to be a good boy. FAIL.
Friends, I know everyone begs you for money. I promise that among all those asking for spare change, we are the smallest and the hardest-working. We’re a group of old, disabled people, except for one writer in his mid-50s. The rest of us are in our sixties and seventies, and this is a labor of love. All we’re asking for is the chance to keep telling the truth about Trump and help ensure democracy survives. If you can help, please do. Thank you. Ursula
