ICE, along with other masked DHS Storm Troopers have become a de facto “army” answering to Trump (and Stephen Miller). Currently there are six branches of the U.S. Armed Forces: Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, Space Force (really Trump?) and the Coast Guard which frequently has units assigned to active military duty including service in war zones. I’m convinced that Trump wants to officially add a 7th Branch. Make all those masked federal agents out there into a formal branch of our military. Naturally he will name it “Trump Force.”
Trump loves having his name on things and if he’d face too much resistance from our traditional branches of the military he figures he can at least have his own branch, complete with it being named to ‘honor’ him! As I said, in effect it’s already out there. Often ICE and other DHS agents are not only masked (naturally the masks would be boldly labeled in gold letters ‘Trump Force’) but geared up in full tactical military gear like normal Special Operations troops – SEALS, Green Berets etc. Call me crazy but I’d bet everything I have (admittedly not much) that Trump has frequently thought about officially designating a seventh branch of the armed forces. Hell, he took the Space Command from the U.S. Air Force and turned it into “Space Force!”
It was a ridiculous thing to do and made non-Trump fluffers groan but Trump thought it would be cool. I’ll bet even many of those who serve in this newest branch groan. Nothing has actually changed other than they have their very own logo and branch flag. Well, they do have to now put up with being the butt of snide comments from other military branches and those of our allies. What has to be galling for the Coast Guard which has an actual and distinguished history of being added to active duty military service at time including fighting in actual wars is that Space Force ‘outranks’ them. That’s right. There’s an official pecking order. Army, Navy, Marines and Air Force are the backbone. However despite being much older and having actually been deployed in combat settings as part of regular military the Coast Guard is last on the list. Yep, Space Force who’s never had a single member fight in combat or deployed in a war zone is number five!
While it’s literally laughable Trump decided it would be cool to have a Space Force and probably wants to see people deployed in space wielding laser weapons like Star Wars ‘blasters’ his masked, armed to the teeth federal agents terrorizing this country are no joke. They are quite literally a law unto themselves and have full permission from the Trump administration to do whatever the hell they want, whenever they want. Constitutional limits don’t apply to them. Warrants that ANY other LE would need? Nope. Some Trump goon from DHS can sign an Administrative Warrant instead of going to a judge. Yes, courts have at time (not often enough) stepped in after the fact but a lot of lives have been shattered in the meantime.
And some lives have been lost. People are DEAD, sometimes literally murdered at the hands of Trump’s (and Miller’s) new (so far) unofficial army. With Trump worried about Democrats winning the midterms how long will it be before Trump officially declares all those goons to be full members of the new branch of ‘his’ armed forces? Only instead of reporting to Hegseth they will report to the White House via the head of DHS. That part is important because while they are trying to walk back some of their goobers saying the quiet part out loud, Trump wants to deploy ICE and other DHS agents (in full tactical gear) to polling sites around the country.
If he wants to get away with it he (or Miller) figures he might be able to get away with it by dragging things out in court just long enough to rig the election results to what he wants them to be. Okay, if you’ve read this you might think I’ve gone batsh*t insane and need to be fitted for a deluxe tinfoil hat. To that I say think about it for a bit. Then tell me Trump (and Miller) haven’t at least considered it!
Tragically, as I said Trump’s already got his very own Storm Troopers out there doing their thing. Or rather what he wants them to do. Worse, while people ARE saying no and protesting in droves, even in some red places the sad fact it we’ve been conditioned to expect seeing geared up and MASKED federal agents around the country. Want to know how bad it’s gotten? Think back on the bogus search of the Fulton County (Georgia) election offices. FBI agents went in and seized ballots and voting records from the 2020 election. There’s a court battle going on, and now that the search warrant has been unsealed legal pundits are stunned any judge signed off on it.
That’s a separate matter to discuss and it’s likely those ballots/records will be returned with seals on the boxes intact. What I want to point out is that the search/seizure was executed by FBI Agents. There are pictures of FBI agents decked out in FULL TACTICAL GEAR taking part. What the hell? While they at least weren’t masked why the hell did they need to be geared up ready for literal battle to take part in a search of offices staffed by clerks who had been told they were coming and indicated the records were already labeled and packed up? FBI AGENTS.
So, don’t tell me I’m crazy to think Trump wants there to be a new, seventh branch of the Armed Forces separate from the DOD that takes orders directly from him (or via the head of DHS instead of Hegseth) AND that he wans it named after him. I guarantee you he wants to make his unofficial army “Official.” I’ll bet he’s even raised the matter with Wiles and perhaps a couple of others and so far been talked out of doing it. However Trump is impulsive and he might just go crazy on a whim and do it so don’t be surprised if it happens.
Friends, I know everyone begs you for money. I promise, among all those asking for spare change, we are the smallest and the hardest working. Yeah, Trump our prexy, operates on whims. As Schumer said a few years back, Trump governs by tantrum. C’mon Repubs, get some backbone, risk your cushy ‘gubmint’ jobs and get rid of Trump. Do it for your constituents and all of us. Only you can do it. Bust into the oval with a posse and give him a little wall to wall counseling. You might as well do it because, by siding with Trump, your career will be over, just like so many others who have gone before you. Go spend time with your family instead of catering to that scumbag.
