Some people will rejoice hearing the date that Donald Trump has predicted that his own death will take place. Some of us will also whine, “So long from now?” We know we will be rid of Trump one way or another, either by him leaving office voluntarily or leaving the world (we presume involuntarily.) Yahoo reports that Trump told New York Magazine in a recent interview that he knew the date of his death. He also said that he didn’t have Alzheimer’s and forgot the word Alzheimer’s until prompted to remember it by Karoline Leavitt.
One senior White House official told New York Magazine that “the specter of death sometimes manifests in the 2028 conversation,” describing aides gaming out whether the president will be willing—or able—to mount yet another run when he will be in his early 80s.
At the same time, Trump has leaned into the idea that clinging to the presidency is what keeps him alive.
Instead of talking about slowing down, he has repeatedly teased the prospect of running again, boasting that he could seek a third term and even what would amount to a fourth term, when he is 86, even as legal experts point out the constitutional two-term limit.
That’s the set up. And I know you’re dying to hear when Trump believes he will go to the big bankruptcy proceeding in the sky. Trump watched Jimmy Carter’s funeral in late 2024 and he predicted at that time, “That’s me in ten years.” So that means that Trump believes he’ll be gone in 2034, which would mean that he would finally retire in 2032, or he would run again in 2032 and die midway through his fourth term in 2034.
I can feel you all collectively cringe, even as I do. Is he serious about any of this? He’s serious about his own mortality, that much is certain. The conversation frequently turns to his demise when talk of another term comes up.
Trump’s father said, “to retire is to expire.” So apparently Trump plans to do a Weekend At Bernie’s or a Dave scenario, with the GOP propping him up no matter how bad off he gets. And this GOP is corrupt enough to do that very thing.
And the Constitution? You well remember the old conspiracy theory about Dubya saying, “It’s just a piece of paper.” Dubya may not have said that but Trump believes it. And no piece of paper or gentlemen’s agreement made by guys in wigs and breeches is going to hold him back from his deranged goals. Will Mother Nature, is the question.
Trump gives himself eight more years in this world. How many do you give him?

Anything later than tomorrow is too late.
For the sake of the country and the planet, the sooner the better
The answer to the when will Trump die question is NOT SOON ENOUGH!
I don’t think the date can be predicted, but I can say with absolute certainty the day will become a national holiday.
I’ve got news for everybody: Trump doesn’t actually know when he’s going to die. In this, as with everything else he says, he’s full of sh-t. But I will just echo others here in the sentiment that whenever it is, it won’t be soon enough.
And yes, for Trump the Constitution is just a piece of paper with stuff written on it.
The night is young.
