The normalization of Donald Trump’s excesses has always been the worst part of having him on the political scene. Just as a pickle never goes back to being a cucumber, I wonder if the United States will ever get back to a pre-Trump kind of a bearing. Here we have, literally, an American president proclaiming that he’s a dictator and advocating for being a dictator — yet this isn’t being blasted all over the airwaves?

How does this go unnoticed? At the very least, there’s poor taste here, at the very most the man poses a grave threat to democracy. How is this shuffled off and ignored as “Trump being Trump?”
Keep your eyes peeled. You’ll see this on a few political blogs but I daresay you won’t see it on the front page of the New York Times or the Washington Post. We have become a nation of ostriches.
If this doesn’t warrant some kind of inquiry under the 25th Amendment, then I don’t know what would warrant one. This is a five-alarm fire. Yet I totally expect it to sail right under the radar except for a bit of notice on blogs like this one.
DICK-tator is more like it. An ugly, shorter than normal ‘mushroom headed one’ (according to Stormy Daniels) WHO PAINTS HIS FACE ORANGE! Alas, even as a haphazard dick-tator he can do some actual dictator type damage.
