Another day, another bat$hit contention. Donald Trump believes he has “stopped eight wars,” and nothing will convince him differently. While talking with Sean Hannity tonight, Trump told Hannity that it would be “an honor” to accept Maria Corina Machado’s Nobel Peace Prize, which she supposedly wants to give to him. Machado is coming to Washington next week, Trump says, so we may see another FIFA gesture, this time with an existing prize, however.

When Trump says “it’s” I am assuming that he means that the Nobel Committee is embarrassed that they didn’t give him the Peace Prize. I seriously doubt that they feel that way about it. They’re probably as gobsmacked as the rest of the world contemplating Trump’s alleged eight wars and his success with them. The one war he “thought was easy” to stop was Ukraine and you see his success with that endeavor.

Here’s another tweet that you’ll love.

Yeah, if you can stop eight wars, who needs international law? Another day, another trip down the rabbit hole and Through The Looking Glass.

  1. It will only stop when we all mock him and maga profanely and with childish insults. There is no reasoning with maga. Hillary was the most unpopular person to ever run and ran a historically awful campaign (read book, “What Happened”). It wasn’t “her turn”. She also has problems with the truth.

The party admitted it rigged primaries for her — we got tRump1.

American, in my lifetime, will not elect a woman of color (probably no woman at all). We are a hateful and racist nation founded on lies, slavery, and slaughtering families. Kamala was not going to win and the party should have known it. We got tRump2.

Guardians of Pedophiles party has no shame, hates America, our founding documents, and the rule of law. WTF do you make of a party that can’t beat that and has “leaders” like jefferies and schumer that work for isreal and support the slaughter of children in gaza.

They have no shame either. tRump is not going to live into his upper 80s and his mind is now gone, but schumer and jefferies will continue to give him what be wants despite dementia.

    • Bull hockey.

The Party did NOT rig any primaries for her. The simple fact is that Bernie Sanders was an ILLEGITIMATE candidate for the DEMOCRATIC Presidential nomination. He was, and IS, an INDEPENDENT. He has been an “Independent” since he entered Congress as a member of the US House of Representatives in 1991. He remained an “Independent” when he entered the Senate in 2007. He was an “Independent” when he decided to HIJACK the Democratic Party in 2016 and WHINED at every opportunity about how he was being so mistreated and was a “victim” of “partisan” actions.

Hillary was NOT “unpopular”; she’d been the LEGITIMATE VICTIM of a right-wing smear campaign since 1993 when her husband Bill became the President. She, in fact, was the one who first described the “vast right-wing conspiracy” being perpetrated by Sinclair Media and then the new Fox “News” organization. You might want to note that HER ideas for health care reform ended up being adopted by Mitt Romney for Massachusetts–and which laid the groundwork for Obama’s Affordable Care Act; but the GOP and the right-wing media attacked her for *daring* to be a “political” First Lady rather than just adopting some “feel-good” program like Lady Bird’s “beautification program” or Nancy’s “say no to drugs” or, after Hillary’s time in the role, Laura Bush’s “reading” programs or Michelle Obama’s “nutrition” efforts–none of which were really “political” in nature, though we all remember the right-wing media going nuts at Mrs Obama’s ideas about good nutrition (ironically, many of her ideas are now being accepted by the right-wing because Robert “Brain Worm” Kennedy has been promoting them as his own). We watched as SECRETARY Clinton spent hours in front of foaming-at-the-mouth GOP Senators trying to put an end to any future presidential bid with the phony concerns over her email account as well as the whole attempt to hold her personally responsible for Benghazi–and she thwarted everything they threw at her (no matter how many times they kept trying to trip her up).

And, talking about “rigging,” maybe you’ve forgotten how the DNC took EVERY opportunity to help Obama in 2008 and tank Hillary. Remember the “disputed” delegates from Florida and Michigan? Those states had “defied” the DNC and held their primaries on “unacceptable” dates (though, in Florida’s case, the state’s GOP legislature had basically forced the date). Obama had withdrawn his name from the Michigan primary months before it was held so his name wasn’t on the ballot. Hillary won both of those primaries but neither state’s delegates from the primaries were allowed until the DNC could hold a meeting after the last primary was held. (Both states’ parties had been offered the opportunity to hold new, sanctioned primaries but the DNC REFUSED to help pay for either of those primaries; each state’s Democratic Party would be on the hook to pay for EVERYTHING–printing ballots, paying election officials and poll workers–and they would have to arrange with their state election officials to authorize the dates and the very legality of these new elections. So, they opted not to hold new elections.) When the DNC met, they decided to give Obama nearly half of the Michigan delegates (despite his name not even being on the ballot) as well as his proper share of the Florida delegates–but both states lost half of their delegations as “punishment” for holding those elections (IOW, if Florida was assigned 100 delegates, they were only permitted to seat 50 at the Convention). Also, Hillary faced criticism for not IMMEDIATELY saying that she would support Obama if he was the Party’s choice but Obama was NEVER asked to make a similar vow of support (and Michelle PUBLICLY said she didn’t know if she could support Hillary as the candidate; she faced no party criticism at all).

And then, there was the Party’s own little bit of sexism and its lack of chastising the “Obama bros” for their LITERAL “bros before hos” statements (one of Obama’s key supporters even got a cardboard standup of Hillary and made groping actions at the figure’s breasts). Obama got REALLY tired REALLY easily (he even slipped up and talked about “57 states”–no real criticism from the DNC but a lot of “explaining away” his little error; one of those explanations was that he’d been on the road so much and was just a bit fatigued). Obama would even take little breaks during the primary campaign; his folks had no problem. But Hillary did not take a single break during the primaries; she campaigned constantly.

And then, there were Obama’s supporters. Including Ted Kennedy who went so far as to claim that Hillary needed to drop out from the campaign to show a “united front” to avoid a GOP win. This was rich from the guy who spent 1980 running a primary campaign against Jimmy Carter–and REFUSED to consider dropping out (even going so far as to vow to fight all the way to the convention). And, of course, his lunacy about the super delegates: He publicly stated that each state’s super delegates should “respect” the state’s voters and back the candidate who won their state. Well, Hillary won Massachusetts by a decent margin. Kennedy supported Obama all the way (rather than respect his own state’s voters).

You’re certainly entitled to your opinion but that’s ALL it is: An opinion. And one that bears NO resemblance to reality.

Too many Democratic voters decided they weren’t going to support Hillary (for whatever reason though most was based off that nearly 25 years of right-wing propaganda against her). Hell, we’ve got Democrats who visit this site who write “Democrat Party” (propaganda does seem to be very effective when one side uses it without ever being challenged on the lies). But, here’s an opinion–one that is very factually based. Bernie would NEVER be elected President if he’d been up against Drumpf in 2016. The right-wing media and the GOP have wielded the “socialist” label against every Democrat for over 30 years (even the most moderate and conservative Democrats) and with Bernie, they had a man who’d PROUDLY labeled himself as a “Socialist” (hell, they’d labeled Hillary as a “socialist” over the years). And that word seems to terrify most GOPers and isn’t really very well-liked among many “independent” voters.

Oh. One last thing. In 2008, Hillary took a lot of grief for her Iraq War vote from 2002 but, oddly, none of her male adversaries who’d voted the same way received the slightest bit of criticism for it. Not even Joe Biden who dropped out of the primaries but ended up as Obama’s VP. (And, for some reason, the fact that Obama had no ability to vote on the matter seemed completely unimportant–even though, not long after becoming Illinois’ US Senator, he said while he opposed the war in Iraq, it was “important” that we fully support the troops who were there.)

    • Hillary was not a good choice. Bernie Sanders would have been a more tactical choice because then we would have had two populist candidates running as opposed to one populist and one establishment. And I know Bernie’s limitations. I was never blind to them. But I think that he would have won.

As to Kamala, she had the nomination dumped on her at the last minute. I can’t fault anything she did. It was much more ingrained prejudice, as you point out, that kept people for voting for her. Joe should have made his decision earlier, but shoulda woulda coulda never does anybody any good. And now we have this shitshow.
