Wow. Now THIS is a shift. This is the shift of shifts, as a matter of fact, the pivot of pivots. Donald Trump took to the airwaves to rave about how wonderful the economy is but with a qualifier: the word “potential.” Now potential can describe anything. A speck of sand is potentially a mountain in formation, a drop in the ocean is potentially part of a tsunami. And we, ladies and gents, as Americans, have the greatest POTENTIAL economy in the world. Which translates as: we ain’t got shit in reality.
I see the word “potential” has been inserted into his standard repertoire. https://t.co/gbhTlJv1U2

And how long will this last? And where is the $18 Trillion, which used to be $17 Trillion, which used to be a lower figure still? Anybody know where those investments are, when we can expect the factories to be built, the huge payments to the Treasury, what about that?
In your crack pipe, that’s what about that. Make no mistake, this is th euivalent of a four-alarm fire, right here. Trumpty got some kind of real world information from his cronies on job creation, inflation, other indicators, and he was told to waffle on his prognostications about this wonderful economy.
We are in the sink and the plug is about to be pulled. That’s where we are.

They’ve realized that their lies are too obviously lies, so the backtrack starts.
When the ‘potential’ isn’t realized, it will all somehow turn out to be the fault of Biden/Hilary/Obama/Far Left Democrats and everyone else ‘conspiring’ against them in their ‘fight for justice’, profit, and unbridled power.
And the worse thing is their die-hard (and brain-lacking) supporters will fall for the sheer stupidity that that same group “conspiring” somehow can’t manage to win elections that would REALLY thwart them. I mean, those “conspirators” have NO actual power; they’re in the minority in both the House and Senate and they’re not in control of the White House, yet they’ve got all this power to stop Drumpf and his cohorts at every turn.
“Potential economy” makes me think of South Park’s Canada On Strike episode where the boys try to raise “internet money” (remember back when the whole dot.com bubble burst?) and they go to the place to collect their ‘theoretical internet dollars.’ Other well-known memes at the time (the evil squirrel, Panda Bear, Laughing Baby, Tron Guy, (failed) Ninja Guy and Chocolate Thunder get into an argument over which is worth the most “theoretical dollars” and it devolves into them all killing each other. After which Cartman says it’s great they’re all dead because the boys are now first in line. Kind of a metaphorical predictuion of Trump:
