We started out with two narratives of reality going on, the left and the right version of what the facts are, thanks to right-wing media presenting “alternative facts.” That has proven to be a complete disaster. Now we have yet a third narrative — AI generated. The latest example is Venezuelans “crying on their knees thanking Trump” for his hostile takeover of Venezuela, but, according to Raw Story, critics were quick to point out that Musk – as did many other prominent MAGA figures – appeared to have fallen for a “transparently fake” video. Take a look.
Right-wing grifter account with 1,200,000 stupid followers gets 37,000 reposts for a transparently fake AI video depicting Venezuelans celebrating Trump.
Maybe many of the followers are bot accounts. If they're real, Baudrillard was right…. https://t.co/UDBQ9b6VTY. https://t.co/VqZiKoL16h

Warning: 90% of Trump support regarding Venezuela on social media is NOT organic. It’s bot generated. Same CIA playbook as Ukraine. Don’t be fooled. The vast majority is against what Trump did in Venezuela. The fact that they need bots to fake support shows how weak Trump is now.

This is clearly, obviously Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Ever since Elon got nuked the blue check and started paying people for clicks, low effort fake news farms have proliferated. He's almost single-handedly made our media ecosystem tangibly worse. https://t.co/ExOL1f8uT2

The blue check should never have been sold away. It was a necessary badge of legitimacy on Twitter. This is the reason Twitter is a cesspool and Bluesky is growing in leaps and bounds.
And arguably Trump is weak right now and the presence of the bots proves that. But how many Americans take the time, like we are taking here, together, to examine the evidence and see what’s out there? That’s the probem.

They are nothing without their lies, fantasies, and spin.
Literally nothing.
