Once again Trump has done more than outdo his cruelty. He’s forced me to think about how horrific it would be if the most evil, despicable man I ever personally knew (my grandfather) was President. My grandfather. It enraged him that Kennedy, a Catholic and worse ‘n****r lover’ was President but even HE was appalled by his assassination and withheld nasty comments for a while. And would have had he lived to see one of JFK’s kids had died young. Trump? Nope. The headline isn’t hyperbole. It was mere hours after the death of JFK granddaughter Tatiana Schlossberg’s death that Trump was gleefully trashing the Kennedy family on Turd Truth Social.
Tatiana Schlossberg, daughter of JFK daughter Caroline was only 35. A month ago it was revealed she’d been diagnosed as having acute myeloid leukemia. Although it was diagnosed in 2024 after the birth of her daughter Tatiana’s case developed a rare and always fatal mutation called Inversion 3. Now she is gone. A lovely young woman, a wife and mother herself has a family that’s endured so much grief now mourning her too short life. Although she was a journalist and author she wasn’t a household name despite being viewed as competent and successful. Interestingly before becoming an Environmental Reporter and author while working for the Metro Section of the NYT early in her career she covered the story of the mysterious bear cub found in Central Park. Later she said like the police she had no idea the culprit was her cousin, RJK Jr.!
Tatiana didn’t court publicity. She simply studied and wrote about things she cared about and Environmental reporting became her calling. She also took part in the Kennedy family’s annual Profiles In Courage awards. Trump probably has almost as much butt-hurt over never having gotten one as he does not having a Nobel Peace Prize. Mostly though I doubt he knew anything about her – that she was a graduate of Yale and had an advanced degree from Oxford for example. If somewhere he was told this he’d have hated her for that alone but for him what really mattered was that she was a “Kennedy” and there’s only one member of that family he likes. If RFK Jr. didn’t kiss his ass so much he’d hate him too but I digress.
Tatiana Schlossberg was as fine a person as one could know. She was smart and professionally accomplished and being a woman being smarter and more capable would make Trump hate her even if she wasn’t a Kennedy. Look, we’ve all had people we know or at least are aware of in our lives/communities we don’t like for whatever reason. Most of the time people keep their unkind thoughts to themselves or only express them in private. Yes, things are different for public figures but there are still certain norms that are respected. Think about it. Were prominent Democrats including Presidents out their bashing the entire Nixon family when he died. Or Ronald Reagan who could have helped control HIV/Aids to manageable proportions but didn’t because to him is was ‘just a gay people disease?’ No, prominent people and Presidents held their tongues.
Trump on the other hand hasn’t held back from bashing people. Just ask the McCain family when John died. As reported by People and actual hard news outlets Trump wasted no time taking potshots at the Kennedy family. He’s the cowardly asshole who likes to kick and stomp on unconscious people when they are down and already helpless. Or better yet when they are tied to a whipping post so he can hear them scream.
If Trump hadn’t been born to money and privilege he’d have gotten far worse than his brother dumping a bowl of mashed potatoes over his head at the dinner table. No, he’d have gotten the shit beaten out of him on a regular bases and likely wound up dying alone in some homeless encampment decades ago. Like my P.O.S. grandfather who hid behind a police captain’s and later a federal badge and took great satisfaction in abusing that power.It would take an entire article to give an overview of how vile, evil disgusting (and more) my ‘grandpa’ was and should my sister would agree with it all but not want some of it out there.
My point is that even with a badge he did a tremendous amount of bad things. Thinking of him with political power was so revolting to me all those decades ago it was nauseating. If I had the gifts of Shakespeare I couldn’t put into words just how horrifying it feels to see a version of my grandfather (and in some ways even worse) in the Oval Office wielding the powers of the presidency. Yet he is and rather than allow some bland ‘Condolences to my HHS Secretary on the death of his cousin’ statement to be crafted and issued or just having the good sense to STFU Trump couldn’t help himself. He went on the attack. Kick an entire family. It’s a family he’s insanely jealous of.
It KILLS Trump inside that Jack (and Jackie) Kennedy displayed an intellect, looks, charm and class he’s never had. And it especially galls him that JFK had to talk HIS father into bribing doctors to allow him into military service in WWII while HE had his own father bribe a doctor to keep him from getting drafted for Vietnam. It drives Trump batshit insane! The Kennedy family is a huge one and certainly not all have brought glory to the name. But overall history has and will continue to view it with kindness. Trump, deep down where he doesn’t like to admit it even to himself knows that the Trump history will be judged as a stain on human history. Con artistry and grifting. Decades ago he bitterly learned that no amount of money can buy “class” and true respect and admiration among society’s elites.
So Trump has lived a life doing all he can to tarnish and tear down others who are/have but what he is not and never has been. Now that he has the power of the Presidency to punish via a variety of means those who do possess what he and his never had and never will he takes savage delight in doing so whenever he can. WTF is wrong with a person who takes such delight in publicly attacking a person and family when a death like this happens. For that matter the same should be asked about ANYONE who supports Trump. Just WTF happened to my country that would allow this man in the White House?
Trump, and his enablers will I’m sure say of his Turd Social outburst that came mere hours after Tatiana Schlossberg died that HE didn’t specifically say something nasty. Just like many a true coward he simply enabled others to do his dirty work for him:

Trump did not directly mention Tatiana’s death in his social media deluge following her death. Instead, he shared screenshots of MAGA supporters mocking the famous political family for their recent responses to his decision to add his name to the Kennedy Center, a historic performance venue in Washington, D.C., which was dedicated as a memorial to JFK following his assassination in Dallas, Texas, in 1963.
I have doubts that journalists will press him on this but there’s no effing way he should be allowed to try and claim a ‘Well… People say’ defense. I’d love just ONE of them deciding they were out of f**ks to give and confronting him with something like ‘You read lots of social media posts that were cruel and classless. That doesn’t obligate you to amplify them on YOUR own social media platform. That you did so says you agree with them!’Â Sadly I don’t think there’s a reporter in any of those gaggles that get to ask him questions possesses such courage. Oh how I hope to live till the day Trump draws his last breath. The top of my bucket list is to be able to one day piss (actually I have worse in mind if you catch my drift) on his miserable grave.
It would be worth any time I’d spend in jail for doing so. Even dying because my jailer(s) was a MAGA asshole who withheld medications and let me die before calling an ambulance. I served in the Marines long ago but such an act would be the best service I could give to my country.
One last thought. Maybe I’ve missed it while writing this but I’m stunned to have not heard one person in particular call Trump out over his Turd Social trashing of the Kennedy family. That’s right. RFK Jr. didn’t say jack sh*t last night or as far as I know today either. He’s been effectively disowned by most of the family. I suspect the few that haven’t will do so now. Including his own children. Not defending his cousin and doing so PUBLCLY make him just as despicable as Trump, at least to me. I’m agnostic but this is something that makes me hope I’m wrong and there is an actual hell because once again Trump (and RFK Jr. too for that matter) deserve Satan coming up with a new, worse than his worst ever torturous room for Donald JACKASS Trump!

I suspect he’ll be interred on one of his properties, like his ex-wife. I say that for 2 reasons; they are not accessible to the public and they are too cheap to pay for cemetery plots.

That’s why I mentioned jail. Being disabled my mobility isn’t what it once was. Even fifteen years ago I could have put what I learned as a jarhead grunt to use and snuck into Bedminster or wherever. Now I’d need help but I suspect I could find it. I’m not the only one who’d be willing to pay a fine and do a bit of time in some county jail. As just one person, the one I used to be I could sneak in and out without getting caught. Several of us would likely be discovered but I figure a gofundme page would raise enough to cover a fine and legal expenses.
Trump, the cowardly draft-dodger, because he held the title of President, will likely be buried in Arlington National Cemetery among real patriots. We will have to visit late in the evening so we can p__s on his grave.
Another fine example of his real potential for having dementia, in conjunction with being layered over a personality disorder, and a vile penchant for being cruel, insensitive and disrespectful during his time in political theatre as ‘P’OTUS.
Thank you for this piece, Denis. Even though there is so much “bad” stuff being said about her, your piece was a lovely memorial to her, even if I’m the only one who thinks so. Maybe we could find a way to have Trump “fall” out of a window, a la Russia’s favorite “accident”. She seems like the type of person that would be worth knowing. May she rest comfortably knowing she was loved.
There are people I don’t like, but I keep it to myself, except Trump. He is uncivilized and will be called the worst president ever in history books. Every building or monument that he’s put his name on will have his name removed after next Democrat president. Then they’ll put a pedo warning sign if his photo or painting is still hung in our WH.
We’ve all known assholes in our lives. People who when they move away or die we think, and even say to trusted folks “good riddance” but public criticism is usually measured. With prominent and especially public figures it’s more of a free-for-all. Still, even for a President like Nixon there was some tempering of his bad qualities when he was buried.
One thing I wish had been mentioned in his second impeachment was calling attention to how a conviction would alter what happens when Trump finally dies. It’s nauseating to think of the ghastly, tacky spectacle that will be made of the State Funeral he will be entitled to. Conviction by the Senate would have prevented him from ever again holding any “Office or Public Trust” but doesn’t specify anything more. Things like a Presidential pension and other perks of being a past President have always been up to Congress.
As is the privilege of laying in state in the Capitol Rotunda. I wish the prosecution would have reminded the Senators of the still existing damage in the Rotunda and that fact EVERYONE knew who was responsible for it. Then asked them to look ahead and say a President who fometed that defilement of the Capitol and that rotunda shouldn’t have the honor of reposing there upon his death. AND that conviction on the charges would give Congress, and in particular the Speaker of the House (who controls the Capitol grounds) ample reason to say no to any Trump funeral plan that would allow him to lay in State in the Rotunda. Or a President to have flags half-masted for a national period of mourning.
It’s not generally known but each President submits their own plan for their funeral including State honors. It’s regularly updated in fact. These plans are quite detailed right down to not only where various services will be held and who will speak at each but even the music and scripture readings and prayers. A President who organized and incited an INSURRECTIONIST mob of violent rioters doesn’t deserve a State funeral with all the bells and whistles. That should have been part of the House Manager’s prosecuting Trump’s second impeachment presented. AND they should have let Yertle aka Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell know the point would be made. He might well have given his blessing, even encouragement for Trump to be convicted.
When the time comes and the nauseating sight of the spectacle of the DC portion of Trump’s funeral is splashed across TV screens I’m sure some pundits will speculate on whether all of it would be happening if Trump had been convicted by the Senate as he damn well SHOULD have been. Alas, the opportunity to head off or massively scale down the tacky-ass spectacle of Trump’s final ‘fuck all y’all – look at MEEEEE!’ was missed.
Denis, I assure you that, no matter where Trump is eventually buried, it will become a hugely popular urinal. I suspect his monstrous ego will dictate that he be put beneath some tacky faux-gold-plated monument to himself, visible and accessible to his worshippers … and to the hordes intent on watering the ground under which he rots. There will be schlock stands nearby selling “I Pissed Upon Trump” t-shirts and caps. Who knows, his grave site might just revive the USA’s dying tourist industry all by itself.
I got forced into early retirement on disability. I wound up being forced on to SSDI which a couple of years later turned into regular social security and partial VA disability several years earlier than I wanted. In other words with less income than I wanted or now frankly need. IF I lived in LA and near the Hollywood walk of fame I’d supplement my income.
How? Make up batches of fake dog poop and set up next to Trump’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Sell a paper cup of it to people for five or ten bucks. In time I’d be able to have a portable color printer and for another five bucks print out a picture of them standing there with my dog, holding a t-shirt that said “I had my dog poop (or shit if they wanted to go hard core) on Trump’s star! In more time I could sell them actual t-shirts Hell, I could even sell them a display that would have the picture AND the “poop” sealed up in a plastic bag (maybe one of those food vaccum seal thingys?) too. I’ll bet someone could make a pretty fair amount of money. In fact I’m surprised no one has done it already.
Trump is beyond uncouth & deserves criticism for anything insensitive he said after that woman’s (or anyone else’s) death. (I didn’t read what he said)
Just make sure to bury him next to Biden & Barry so we can have a real pissing match!
