Who knows the back story behind this debacle? Not that it really matters. Today’s no show is no different from so many other displays of disinterest in the job of First Lady that the former model has shown. Who geeves a fock about Creesmuss? A lot of people do, especially when it’s Christmas in the Peoples’ House. It’s one of the thing that unites us as a people, one nation under God (although the God of our understanding may differ, at least we agree that we are one nation under God.) We also “geeve a fock” about our fallen soldiers and that’s something else that Melania didn’t want to deal with — at least not today.

First Lady Melania Trump mysteriously pulled out of a ceremony honoring fallen U.S. soldiers killed during an ISIS ambush in Syria last week.

The elusive First Lady had been scheduled to attend the dignified transfer ceremony with President Donald Trump to receive the bodies of the American soldiers and a civilian interpreter on Wednesday.

But while the president travelled to Dover Air Force base in Delaware to pay his respects—accompanied by his now-controversial chief of staff Susie Wiles, Pentagon Chief Pete Hegseth and former House speaker Kevin McCarthy—Melania Trump was nowhere to be seen.

A White House official confirmed to the Daily Beast that the first lady had pulled out of the ceremony at the last minute but declined to explain why.

The ceremony was held to honor Iowa National Guard soldiers Edgar Brian Torres-Tovar, 25, and William Nathaniel Howard, 29. […]

The first lady’s absence came hours after a trailer for a new documentary was released publicly on Wednesday morning, offering a behind-the-scenes look at her life in the 20 days leading up to President Trump’s Jan. 20, 2025, inauguration.

It opens with the first lady preparing to enter the U.S. Capitol Rotunda for the swearing-in. As the camera pans past, she turns to it and declares, “Here we go again.”

Maybe some show biz commitment came up and Melania had to attend to that first, rather than the soldiers who gave their all in service to their country. Who knows? What we do know is that Melania doesn’t geeve a fock about being First Lady and she lets that be known. She made that statement clear with her infamous pea coat, “I Really Don’t Care, Do U?” I’ll give her an A+ for honesty on that occasion — and for telling her former friend Stephanie Winston-Wolkoff, “Who geeves a fock about Creesmuss decorations but I have to doo eet.” That’s the real Melania.

It will be intriguing to see how her documentary, which might as well be called a mockumentary, set for release in late January will do. We’ve had First Ladies who have been dignitaries in their own right, Eleanor Roosevelt and Jackie Kennedy come to mind. Melania is most noteworthy for being the Gone Girl of First Ladies.

  1. Indeed. The queen of “… Who geeves a fock about Creesmuss?…” is probably in her kazzle, sitting on her fake gold throne, waiting for her three “… Eastwisemen…” (her POTUS actually said this) to come, and, on her ‘I don’t care’ terms, serve her with some Xmas cheer: Shocking. Shocking. Shocking. They got to her knee. What did they see? Shocking. Shocking. Shocking. One can only imagine what was going through their minds once they escaped that horrid fishnet entrapment. Only to suffer PSTD from their horrid time spent with the I don’t “… geeve a fock about being First Lady …” sour personality. The mind boggles. The three ‘Eastwisemen’ soldiered on, bravely, but permanently scarred.

  2. Oh, wow. Drumpf actually showed up for THIS ceremony? After ignoring similar ceremonies during his first administration? And, “Edgar Brian Torres-Tovar?” Sounds suspiciously, um, “ethnic” to me. I wonder if Drumpf knew the names of these men he was there to (ha, ha) honor?

Also, why was Kevin McCarthy there? The dead men were members of the IOWA National Guard (according to the story) and McCarthy was a representative from CALIFORNIA. There is NO indication that he ever served as a member of the Guard nor did he ever serve in the military. And there’s no indication that he was ever on any House committee dealing with military or National Guard programs.
