We are entering an extremely dangerous time. President Donald Trump is well aware of the fact that the House will surely vote to open the real Epstein files (The ones from DOJ, as of now, most documents pouring from the House involve those derived from the Epstein Estate), and God only knows what may be in them, likely a lot of Trump. Meanwhile, he is taking out presidential fury in sending the U.S. Navy to the South American coast to attack the country that actually doesn’t run many drugs into the U.S., but does have the most oil and a tyrannical leader (Sound familiar). Trump’s efforts to distract are not limited to warring in the Western Hemisphere; he is now doing what no president before him has ever done, calling on the DOJ to specifically investigate his political rivals in a matter that most certainly involves him personally. We used to toss around words like “conflict of interest” and “independent prosecutors” as rock-solid principles. But that was then.

This is today:

There is so much wrong with this post that it is hard to know where to begin. But the “I will be asking Pam Bondi… to investigate… Epstein’s relationships with Bill Clinton, Larry Summers, Reid Hoffman, J.P. Morgan, Chase, and many other institutions…” is the obvious red flag. He is in a total panic, now openly directing the investigation such that it focuses only on his rivals. Like so many other actions, the above was simply unthinkable, obviously impeachable, had it happened any time pre-Trump (Ask Nixon.) Literally everyone knows that Trump prominently appears in those emails, everyone has seen the birthday card with the naked girl referencing “secrets,” and yet Trump is directing law enforcement toward only the people he hates. Breathless.

He knows what is about to happen. The House is going to vote to have the DOJ release those emails. Now, from my research, the House alone cannot act. It would require a similar vote in the Senate, one that I think most presume would lead to similar results. Congress’s votes would put the matter on Trump’s desk, where he must either consent to its release or issue the most conflicted and self-absorbed veto in history. One should probably have serious doubts about whether Trump will ever allow this stuff out in the open, and that there is only one reason he would move to keep it hidden. It is the biggest political threat he has ever faced.

Even Trump’s indefatigable professional influencers on “X” have little to say about the matter beyond piling on Democrats and asking why the Biden administration didn’t release the files. (It is because Maxwell’s criminal case was ongoing in appeals, they couldn’t release the stuff without threatening her prosecution, and this is obviously no longer the case.)

So watch closely now as Trump continues to panic. He is especially dangerous, fully capable of invading Venezuela to keep the news cycle off him, off this. There is no worse offense than using the military as a political prop, but he’s perfectly capable of lessers, perhaps using ICE more aggressively, pounding on prosecuting Democrats for various non-crimes (See the cabinet referral of Rep. Eric Swalwell for… You guessed it, mortgage fraud). But there’s simply no getting around this one.

Sure, investigate Clinton and Summers, all of them. ALL of them. Because you cannot pick your conspirators, anyone who raped girls has to go. And that is likely exactly why Trump is panicking.

  1. He can do so much damage to the country by his flailing around while he tries to deflect attention away from this issue.

It’s what he’s always done, Deflect attention from one issue by starting a new one.

What could divert attention better than a war, starring him as a ‘Wartime President’ ?

  2. The Republicans in Congress must surely know that continuing to protect Trump will hurt them politically. Of course, it’s possible that some of them are also in the files and need to maintain the cover-up.
