This is simply not to be believed, but it does make a kind of perverse sense. Trump is beloved by his MAGAs because he is one of them — intellectually. That’s the essence of why they love him, if this has never been explained to you. Donald Trump is a moron. We’re not the only ones who know that. Everybody knows that. MAGA knows that and MAGA has admitted it. Karoline Leavitt addresses it by calling it Trump’s “authenticity.” The man is authentically stupid and MAGA loves the fact that somebody that stupid can have all the things that they can’t have, i.e., millions of dollars, a hot wife, big houses, and even the presidency. Trump is MAGAs poster boy and if we’re lucky there will never be another one.

So going along with the fact that Trump’s a moron, here’s his latest gaffe. He republished a satire site’s take off on Barack Obama and the “kick backs” he gets from Obamacare. Now, despite the fact that the site contains the disclaimer, “Nothing on this page is real,” Trump decided to repost the fabrication to his millions of followers.

Wow indeed, Donald. Wow that you are so *%@$& stupid that you would fall for something like this and decide that it needs to be rebroadcast to all the rubes without bothering to fact check it. The least blogger amongst us would have enough sense to fact check something that obviously flamboyant, if true.

Now I know what you’re all thinking because I’m thinking the same thing, too: Is this news story going to make its way onto mainstream media? Probably MSNBC. I would be surprised if Jen Psaki or Rachel Maddow did NOT comment on this. But beyond them, Nicolle Wallace, all the ususal suspects, I would not expect to see this.

And yes, if Joe Biden had done the same thing with a Trump conspiracy theory, OMFG, there would be screaming headlines, beginning with the Wall Street Journal and the Bezos Bugle and then going on down to OAN, who would have run it 24/7.

The claim is entirely false. Reuters confirmed in March that the story originated from a satirical website, America’s Last Line of Defense, which includes a disclaimer stating that “nothing on this page is real.” Additionally, the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), which publishes the cuts that it makes, did not list any Obama royalty payments.

Trump’s post is part of a series of unhinged social media attacks Sunday morning on the Affordable Care Act.

And as Obama has been saying forever, “They don’t like my idea but they don’t have an idea of their own.” True enough. But Donald did share during the election, to Kamala Harris, that he had a “concept” of an idea. Whut hoppen to that, huh? The concept just vanished during one of his White House *power naps?*

Let me leave you with a thought I just now had: I think Trump honestly does not know the difference between conspiracy theory and truth. I think that what he does is just to throw it all out there and see who believes what. And he’s fine with that. Incredible as it may seem, he is simply fine with it. His purpose is to manipulate only. He doesn’t care about what’s true and what’s a lie. He only cares about what he can use.

  1. “…royalties linked to Obamacare…”? How in heaven’s name could ANYONE believe this? Donald Trump is deep into dementia, but even before its onset he was a moron. This is a deep truth that many voters in the US need to absorb: A person can be richer than God and still be a moron. The ability to make bushels of money is not related to ANY other kind of intelligence, especially if (like someone we know) one is a conman with no regard for morality or the law. And speaking of that, reliable sources have concluded that DOGE’s abrupt cancellation of international health aid means that Elon Musk is responsible for approximately 600,000 excess deaths. Let’s not hear ever again that “what this nation needs is a businessman president.”

      • Sorry but I have to disagree. IF a successful business person displays success as an elected official AND has very solid international knowledge and experience then perhaps. Here’s my problem with the “We need government to be run like a business” philosophy.

First, most businesses FAIL. Especially small to medium sized ones which have spawned a lot of politicians. So there’s that. Second, a business exists to make a profit. Governments at any level are actually NON-profit entities. They set goals based on what they’ve convinced voters is needed and try to raise the resources need to attain said goals.

There’s nothing wrong with constantly seeking a lower cost of getting good results that meet the people any government serves needs. Those savings can be turned into a ‘rainy day fund’ because sometimes governments, like businesses have to deal with sudden unexpected costs, or decreased in revenue.

In my life I’ve worked in all the sectors. Private for profit business, the Military (Marines), and other government – local and for a bit the feds (FEMA). I’ve also worked in the non-profit sector including as a Program Manager for a national conservation advocacy organization. I’ve seen it all.

The problem with a business person is that, unless they’ve also spent time in the other sectors is that they see everything through the for profit model – maximize profits. And with a shift a half decade ago from a tacit if grudging admission from corporate boards that there existed at least some responsibility to the overall good of the public even if it meant a bit less profit to a ‘cut any and everything you can to maximize profit’ mindset this is the last thing we need government doing.

Obama took a lot of grief over his “resume” prior to going to law school. However he started out as one person with an old beater of a car and a 1k a month salary which even then wasn’t much in southside Chicago to live on. During that time he got a solid non-profit going that provided multiple services. More importantly he set it on a solid course for growth by picking the right people and it continued to grow and thrive after he left for law school.

THAT, combined with state legislature experience and a short stint in the Senate is what made him suited to the job of President. His predecessor and successor were both ‘vaounted’ businessmen and each presided over FUBAR administrations. I rest my case.

  2. I wonder how much money (kickbacks) is going to Drumpf on a monthly basis?

And who wants to bet that if a satirical website actually posted a story describing the $500,000 getting sent to Drumpf on a monthly basis would find itself on the receiving end of a “defamation lawsuit” by pResident Snowflake?
