The counter-programming from MAGA has not been having the desired effect because the simple truth is that there is an advantage to living in an era where all of us are carrying around small rectangular movie cameras in our pockets and purses. The smart phones we carry remnd me of the monolith in Space Odyssey, and especially the scene where the monoliths eat the planet Jupiter. We are overwhelmed by images and the normal persons’ ability to record same, not to mention all the legacy media channels, independent media and social media. Against this backgroup of populist media, the MAGA lies are failing badly.

Dhillon is one of the Trump family cronies and was appointed to be an Assistant Attorney General. To my mind that makes her efforts at concealing the truth even that much more egregious but I suppose it can be argued that on her time off she can lie with the rest of them. What a depressing state of affairs, though, when you see people like this attempt to publicly delude the public. But then deluding the public is what got Trump where he is and what keeps it all together. It makes complete sense when looked at from that perspective.

Florida is like everyplace else, there were people turning out. Minneapolis had a yuge turnout but then we know Donald isn’t exactly beloved in the land of 10,000 lakes.

It’s only beginning. We’re in year one of Trump 2.0 and after nine months of the buffoon back in offiice, this is what America is saying she thinks about the situation. Make no mistake, MAGA is not happy with this and so you will continue to see their version of what took place. Just rememeber, you, like everybody else, is carrying a movie camera and at any given moment if/when a demonstration pops up where you are, you can record it and bear witness. That’s MAGAs Achilles’ heel. They may have a powerful right-wing media machine, and they do, but we live in a technocracy and they simply cannot suppress the truth when we’re all able to record video and take photos at any moment.
Time wasted in regret is wasted time. Instead focus on different behavior than the actions that caused regret. It still baffles me so many vets VIOLATED their oath by voting for a FASCIST. We’re not a smart country, who, unlike Forrest Gump, doesn’t know what love is. Love of democracy. Love of freedom.
NYT online – like this ever happened yesterday. At least WaPo had a big picture and story. Even FUX had a story about John Cusack telling off drump at a “Leftist” no kings rally in Chicago on CNN.
