If you haven’t already, read the earlier piece from today on how Donald Trump exhibited confusion about what year it is and claimed that he was president in 2016. In that piece he boasts of prescient knowledge of Osama bin Laden. He’s been telling this particular story for ten years now according to fabled fact checker Daniel Dale. Dale has exposed this particular lie of Trump’s already, but you know Teflon Don, nothing sticks. So here we go again.
His superpower is shamelessness.

But is that the case? Is it shamelessness or is Trump simply crackers? I think he’s simply crackers. I think that the reason that Trump has lasted all these years pushing peoples’ buttons while pulling their legs is because he creates an alternate universe for himself to live in. And inside that universe, he makes perfect sense. And in that universe he believes he did do the things he claims, like taking an army of people down to the scene of the World Trade Center on 9/11, to help out, as a first responder. And he believes he did predict the rise of Osama bin Laden, and moreover that he did so in that book that he can’t remember the name of (and if you had ghostwriters do all your material, you wouldn’t be able to remember titles, either.)
But if that is the case, and Trump believes every inanity that comes out of his mouth, where does that leave us? Headed towards martial law at the very least. Headed towards a *stollen* election attempt, not just claims that one was tampered with after the fact. Headed for a decreased economic stature in the world for sure.
For you see, the cult may love to live in Trump’s dreamworld with him, but our allies don’t. And our enemies are taking advantage of this situation and making hay while the sun shines.
Trump’s lying is legendary. Anthony Scaramucci spoke about Trump’s lying and his experiences during that short window of time that he was working in the White House.
I don’t know about you, but this scares the hell out of me. It’s true. Trump is an idiot savant. He knows how to create a polarizing personality (or, it is simply genuine, his twisted psyche) that some people love and some people hate. And he’s enriched himself with the presidency more than any other president in history. BUT and this is a big but, I think his Achilles heel is that he doesn’t know when to stop.
He’s exhibited lack of judgement his entire life. He’s like Icarus, you can’t tell him to only fly so high and no more. That is his fatal flaw that has caused him all the trouble that he’s ever had and that flaw is only exacerbated by dementia. Tony Schwartz, Trump’s ghostwriter on Art Of The Deal, said that Trump completely lacked impulse control and was surprised himself by some of the things that came out of his mouth.
And unfortunately, his lack of judgement is going to affect you and me, not just his own immediate circle and personal business interests.
Trump is an idiot savant, only minus the savant part.
